Live at Serendipity Wellness Villas

The bed was the comfiest bed I have slept on in a long time, maybe even comfier than my own bed at home! The grounding sheet was an extra bonus that I definitely felt was grounding haha. I slept like a princess throughout my entire stay. It was great to have so much floor space as I like to practice yoga. The filtered water was a huge plus as well as the hot water for making tea. The TV was also great and worked well. I had a very relaxing time here, and the staff accommodated me so well, helping with laundry and cleaned the room whenever I asked them to. They also asked me often if I wanted my room clean. Lovely staff and beautiful place.

I thought when I booked the place - through booking.com that I booked the room with a kitchen but when I got there I had a room with a TV. I had factored having a kitchen into the higher price so I was a bit disappointed about this but when I brought it up with the staff they offered me to switch to the kitchen villa. However, I was already so comfortable in my villa I decided to just stay in it, plus mine had a TV and the one with a kitchen doesn't. So bare that in mind when you book your rooms. I was however disappointed to discover the cold plunge is no longer there. They need to update their booking to show there is no longer a cold plunge because I had also factored this into the price of the booking. They still have the sauna but I personally wouldn't use the sauna without the cold plunge so I was disappointed about this.

I originally booked Live@Serendipity Wellness Villas because I was looking for a quiet place to relax in Ubud. What I didn't realize before arriving was that they also offer personalized wellness retreats, which ended up becoming one of the highlights of my trip. After checking in, the team took time to understand what I was looking for and suggested a few experiences that fit where I was at. During my stay, I did a sound healing session, breathwork, and a gentle juice cleanse. Everything felt tailored to me rather than following a fixed retreat schedule. I especially loved all the little wellness touches throughout the property. The villa had grounding bed sheets, meditation cushions, and practical meditation tips that were easy to apply even as a beginner. There was also an infrared sauna and ice bath that I used a few times. Having access to those facilities whenever I wanted made it easy to create my own wellness routine. The sound healing session was deeply relaxing and helped quiet my busy mind. The breathwork session was surprisingly powerful and left me feeling lighter and more focused afterward. Combined with the peaceful environment, it felt like a genuine reset. The villas themselves are beautiful, private, and comfortable, but what made this stay memorable was how thoughtfully everything was put together. It felt like staying somewhere that genuinely cares about helping guests slow down, recharge, and reconnect with themselves. If you're looking for more than just a place to stay in Bali, and like the idea of combining a relaxing holiday with wellness experiences that can be personalized to your needs, I highly recommend Live@Serendipity Wellness Villas.

Wished I had known about the retreat programs so I could have booked a longer stay!

I first noticed the attention to detail that created an atmosphere focused on wellness, healing and relaxation. Starting with onsite outdoor sauna and cold plunge. In the room there is a calming light display which sets a meditative vibe. The bed was one of the comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on! With an optional grounding sheet to help with sleep. Wifi worked great, and could connect my music to the built in sound system which was a nice touch. The bathroom was very clean with a rainfall shower. I liked that you could walk out onto a terrace from the bathroom to chill, great place to read a book. The room felt very spacious and with a sofa and outdoor seating on the deck there were plenty of places to lounge. Would book again and recommend to anyone!

There was not much to not like. I guess the if there was one thing it would be the locations of the light switches. Just takes a a minute to figure out what turns on what. But not really a big issue. Lots of lighting options.

Serendipity is set on a peaceful, traditional Balinese property, with quiet and relaxing surroundings. There are icebath and sauna facilities right on the premises. The villa has beautiful décor, clean lines, lighting, and soothing colors and textures. Wayan was always available, making sure the water dispenser was being refilled and providing complimentary teas and coffees. We made use of the mini fridge. The bathroom is beautiful with a roomy shower. The villa has indoor and outdoor workstations and breathtaking landscaping. It is so easy getting in and out of the villas...no stairs or uneven pavement. Restaurants and coffee shops are nearby, and Ubud Center is minutes away. Serendipity offers assistance with your departure, luggage, or transportation. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Serendipity Wellness Villas.
