HOTEL MASAI MARA - NATURIST APARTMENTS & GLAMPING Clothing optional

As usual, the location is great. The pool, the sauna (though it is too early to heat it up) - all is wonderful! The views are stunning! The weather was good too. Of course, it is worth noting the helpfulness of Thomas and the Italian chef. The relaxing atmosphere was always a great draw to come to Masai Mara. Thomas offered an iron to us when we needed to iron some clothes. The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable, the bedroom was great. The second bedroom we really did not need, so we used it as storage for our bags. The pool was warm and comfortable, it was great to relax in a long chair or swim (even after coming from the beach).

We were not very excited about the option of naturism (because when we initially booked this hotel, it was not advertized as naturist). Fortunately, we did not see any guests usuing this option, so it was not a problem. Before we came, the owner explained this option, and we were ready for it. one other shortcoming was that when you use an electric water heater and a cooker, the power goes out. it just cannot tolerate two heaters at the same time, unfortunately. But it did not spoil the overall impression

Cuando llegamos al alojamiento nos gustó de primeras porque era todo lo que estábamos buscando para pasar un par de días. Tranquilo, alejado de todo para poder desconectar, fresco por las noches para descansar bien... Pero lo que sin duda nos encantó y lo que nos hizo ampliar la estancia y pasar más días en el sur de la isla fueron las personas que trabajaban allí y la atención tan buena que nos dieron. Christian el cocinero es espectacular, amable y atento a cualquier detalle. No nos había pasado nunca en un hotel que cambiaran los desayunos en función de nuestros gustos. Si veía que nos hacíamos bocadillos, al día siguiente nos preparaba bocadillos con pan casero recién hecho. Las pizzas que preparaba también eran espectaculares. Si nos quedamos fue sobre todo por el, su comida y sus atenciones. Mención especial también para María, la camarera que estaba por las noches que era también super agradable y atenta y nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones de sitios a los que ir y donde comer. Sin duda, si volvemos a la isla de vacaciones volveremos a ir al mismo sitio, y ojalá veamos que en la isla hay un nuevo restaurante italiano con Christian en la cocina y María en la barra, porque sería sin duda el mejor sitio al que ir a comer por allí.

La carretera de acceso tiene muchas curvas y de noche no hay demasiada visibilidad, pero compensa por las vistas que tiene el sitio desde arriba de la montaña.

The accommodation and the entire hotel grounds are absolutely outstanding! The property is located about 5 minutes before Fataga, in a beautifully secluded area with no other properties nearby. It’s incredibly peaceful, well maintained, and clearly taken care of with great attention to detail. The views are breathtaking, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, especially the lovely Italian team at the restaurant! The drive from Maspalomas is incredibly scenic, although the winding mountain road might be a bit challenging if you’re not used to it. But it’s absolutely worth it! There are even orange trees growing just below the property, adding to its charm. The pool area is an amazing spot to relax and soak up the afternoon sun while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. If you prefer peaceful, authentic places over busy tourist areas like Maspalomas, this is the perfect getaway. We absolutely loved the tranquility and would happily come back!

Wij verbleven drie nachten in een glamping tent. Deze is luxe ingericht met voldoende keukengerei, fijne bedden, grote handdoeken en een buitenzittje met dikke kussens. Het uitzicht is prachtig.

We hebben helaas toch een laag cijfer moeten geven. Bij het zwembad staat de muziek vrij luid (daar hebben we iets van gezegd en de volgende dag was het iets beter en de dag daarna weer niet) en we troffen daar een grote, luidruchtige familie aan. Wij konden daarom eigenlijk niet bij het zwembad zitten, wat we jammer vonden. Voor een accomodatie die zegt 'een plek van rust en stilte te zijn' was dit voor ons een tegenvaller. Wij hebben dit geboekt omdat we rust zochten. De pizzaprijs in het restaurant kwam niet overeen met de prijs op de website (bijna het dubbele). Tijdens de laatste nacht hebben de mensen in de tent naast ons tot diep in de nacht films op de tv zitten kijken. Misschien hebben we gewoon pech gehad en er op het verkeerde moment geweest, maar we zijn helaas moe en teleurgesteld vertrokken.
