Casa do Largo da Fogueira

The house was good enough for what we needed. Upon arrival there was a little basket with nice goodies on the kitchen table. They had supplied water in the fridge and wine. If the guest drinks the wine, the guest is billed accordingly. From the photographs I couldn’t tell how steep the stairs were, and considering my health issues, that made the upstairs unsuitable for me. Fortunately there was a sleeper couch downstairs. It wasn’t the most comfortable, but for two nights it was perfectly fine. The downstairs bathroom has a rather small shower, but it was adequate for basic needs. The kitchen had all the appliances anyone needs although we only used the fridge. The eating area was great, and so was the little outdoor space....a gardeners paradise. I must say I enjoyed seeing all the old heirlooms throughout the house. The area where the sleeper couch is situated has a rather high step. For young people its not an issue, but someone who has lost strength in their legs, its rather high.

It was extremely hot and although they have air coolers upstairs and downstairs, the downstairs one blows hot air out the back so unless you sitting in front of the air cooler, you still going to feel the heat. My suggestion to the owner would be to install aircons or place a pipe from the air cooler to the outside somehow.

This is is a super cozy home. Everything you need is around. The shower and the bed are great. Had a helpful check in.
