Ocean Green Beach

The hotel was peaceful, spacious and most importantly clean. Most guests I believe were day vistors, famalies, groups etc enjoying by the pool and beach as it was a Sunday. Having a room with a seaview balcony was lovely. Very good customer service was offered by 99% of staff (there's always the 1% lol) The only issue I had in the washroom was dealt with swiftly by the kind maintenance man. I was very grateful that the hotel offered a working fridge/freezer, and complimentary bottled water. The room offered both air con & an overhead fan. The bathroom though small, was clean and functional. I appreciate that this hotel has a lift, though it was not working during our stay. Breakfast was nice and the sweet potato wedges were a lovely touch, the fresh pineapple juice was really lovely. I would replace a slice of cake at breakfast with a piece of seasonal fruit. This hotel would be great for holding a company team building day as they have extensive conference rooms which I viewed and they are also working on a lovely communal rooftop space which I believe would be a great addition to the hotel.

I would prefer to pay directly via bookings.com to avoid the rate difference when completing payment in person and to avoid the issue of payments not going through due to network errors. No working air acconditioning system upon arrival at reception is unexceptable for guests and for the staff that are having to work in such conditions. For dinner I ordered jollof rice and I was not pleased at recieving a tiny portion from the bottom of the pot whilst paying for the privilege! This maybe a personal preference but I think it disgusting and unhygienic that guests place their bare feet on the tables that guests place their food and drink. I have never seen this before and I think staff should be able to request for them to refrain from such behaviour! Though asthetically pleasing the hotel needs to pay close attention to where they are placing the rugs in the bedroom, as when the bathroom door is opened the carpet lifts up which if tripped over so close to the balcony could be horrific. The wooden balcony chairs should also have cushions for guest comfort. Attention is needed for the desk plug sockets that were intermittently working. Side note for the lovely staff, please try and refrain from speaking local languages directly in front of your guests.

The location and the road to the place is bad

We loved Ocean green as day visitors (no room) so we decided to go back and stay overnight. The facilities around the pool and beachside restaurant are beautful, well worth a visit. Food wass good at restaurant, drinks were not over priced as some resorts. Good wifi around pool area.

The first room we were offered was lovely, good size great lighting, power shower, just lovely. Unfortunately the fan over the bed did not work so we were given another room. The other rooms offered in the main building by reception smelt of damp and were nowhere near as nice as the first room which is in a seperate building. I did'nt have a good sleep and wanted to go back to the first room despite the fan not working. Despite this the manager and receptionist did their best to help the situation.

Not much because its not value for money!
