B&B Porto Seguro Marina di Paola

After my 5 day stay here was over I decided to stay in Paola for a few more days but I could not reserve the dates for this B&B on Booking, presumably because the owners blocked it to repair the roof and anyway I did not want to take a chance that it would rain again until it was repaired for sure so I made reservations at a B&B across the street. The Host Larissa originally texted me that check-out was at 10am but when I told her that the website says 11am she said OK. About a half an hour after I had already left the room carry all my bags down the stairs myself she called me to find out why I had not returned the keys to the bar yet and so I informed her that I had to transfer my luggage to another B&B I was staying at across the street and I still did not get a chance to go to the bar. She was disappointed to find out that I did not ask to stay at her place longer and asked me how I was doing and to not give too bad of a review. I was really happy that she called me and showed some concern about my stay and that is why I rated this review a 7 instead of a 6 which I think is being more that fair after everything that happened to me! At 5:45pm I arrived at the train station, which was 15 minutes early for my arrival time that the B&B already knew about. It was during a heavy rain storm and I called Larissa to find out if there was someone who could come in a car as I had 2 wheeled luggage bags and so was unable to walk the 200 meters. She informed me there was no one and that I had to go to the bar across the street for the keys. I had to wait for about a half hour for the rain to slow down some, but the steep declining street was still difficult to walk with all the water flowing down the hill. Someone at the bar was kind enough to push my small bag across the street to make sure I was able to open the entrance door to the building but no one was there to accompany me up the stairs to the room. After entering the room I called Larissa and she wanted me to take a photo of my ID and e-mail it to her as I do not have a Smartphone or WhatsApp, but I told her I had to go to the supermarket before they closed and so she said to call her upon my return. When I got back about an hour later, I found the ceiling was dripping water from the light fixture in front of the balcony door next to the kitchen. She then came and mopped the floor and put a bucket under the dripping water and took the photo of my ID and turned the gas on as there was no hot water upon my arrival. The rain finally stopped a couple of hours later and so did the leak and fortunately it did not rain on the 4 other days of my stay. The shower drain was slow but Larissa came the next day and unclogged it from the hairs of the previous guest. The small trash container in the bathroom still had some trash in it from the previous guest and the only other problem was the dirty overfilled trash bins outside and a neighbor yelled at me for putting trash there?

Posizione, servizi (aria condizionata, Wi-Fi, tv, macchinetta caffè), colazioni eccezionali al bar di fronte. Sicuramente però soggiorno piacevole e confortevole; consigliato…tornerò sicuramente!

Pulizia da migliorare ma comunque accettabile, l’acqua che soprattutto nelle ore pomeridiane non arriva (problema comune della città nel mese di agosto per l’alta richiesta)

Wonderful, nicely renewed house, at 200 m to the beach and 00 m to the historical center., featuring double luxury shower and air-conditioned.
