A perfect private get away

The Hideaway is so beautifully thought out; the decor is gorgeous, the outside spaces are quirky and fun and the kitchen is well equipped but there are also lovely details like the corner lights for a cinema feel when watching a film on a wet November evening and the colouring books for some quiet time. The greeting was lovely and having the heater on and the music playing on arrival really set the mood and made it feel so welcoming. I can't think of anything more that could have been done. The location is ideal, a 10 minute walk into town for the beach, pubs and restaurants and it's in easy reach to explore other places. Especially at this time of year though, I like to find an accommodation I don't mind spending the day in if the weather is bad and this fitted the bill!

Dusica and Luke have really though about how to maximise the experience of their guests. They have created a beautiful space both inside and outside. They are friendly and helpful hosts.

The Velvet Hideaway.. 10/10!

The Velvet Hideaway is like nowhere we’ve ever stayed before, we absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. Fully equipped with everything we needed, peaceful & the hosts were very welcoming. A lovely setup of strawberries, delicious cupcakes and Prosecco on our arrival which was a great touch. Comfy bed, we slept perfectly and the property was clean to great standard. Multiple forms of entertainment provided, including colouring and painting. Lots of attention to detail & a beautiful place to stay! We will 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing night away from home. Perfect way to spend our date night!

We had a lovely cosy stay, felt well hosted and looked after. The place is clean and tasteful.

Loved the decor, feeling in nature while also in comfort.

All was good, I didn’t know it would be a camping toilet but it was good quality and straightforward.

Absolutely fabulous ❤️ me and the wife had a great time, we we're given excellent recommendations for eating out and had two delicious meals, we will be returning for sure . Very comfortable bed and so peaceful 💖 ...a great place to collect your thoughts xx 10/10

Never stayed in such a Magical and wonderful property.

We can guarantee that you’ve never stayed at a property like The Velvet Hideaway. Its like a Rustic Lodge that when you open the front door is like a Fantasy world of sights and textures. Every convenience has been provided, with seemingly every form of cooking, fridge and freezer. However that says nothing about the main impression that the place presents, just a delight of materials and works of art take you toa fantasy comfortable world. The setting is also amazing and is like having a front row seat to a Nature Reserve. Outside spaces abound and are very attractive and useful to have.

Probably the only negative note is struck by the chemical loo, its very new and in good condition however it does emit a chemical smell. Having said that there is another loo available which is part of the main house, but not attractive in the middle of the night.

Amazing secluded getaway. Amazing hosts. Great attention for detail. Could not recommend this enough for a romantic , private getaway. Bed was so comfy as well.
