Apartamento El Alma de Frigiliana

The property was in a great area, within a short walking distance of the historic centre. Good directions on how to access the property and an instruction booklet inside the apartment on arrival. We were allowed an early check in which we were very grateful for. A cafe opposite and small shop nearby were handy. The property is up 2 flights of stairs but it’s well worth it for the beautiful views!Street parking available nearby. The apartment was well equipped and milk, water and wine provided as a welcome gift, as well as coffee pods for the machine, shampoo and shower gel. The bed was comfortable, towels soft and fluffy,air conditioning good and the apartment bright and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed using the outdoor pool and also sitting on the balcony admiring the surrounding views.

The pool area is down the 2 flights of stairs and up some more but it was a pleasant space after warm days sightseeing.

This is a beautiful one bedroom apartment situated at the end of Frigiliana. It was spotlessly clean. The owners have obviously spent a lot of time and money decorating and equipping the property and it felt very modern and well-appointed. Quality furnishings and fixtures throughout. The location is excellent: a few minutes walk takes you to the church square and then on to the heart of the old town. There is an indoor pool and sauna, and an outdoor pool with beautiful views of the town and surrounding hillsides. The balcony gets the sun most of the day, from early afternoon until 8pm (we were there in April). The view from the balcony is gorgeous: on some evenings the high hills of Morocco were visible. The welcome pack was appreciated. Overall, this is a brilliant apartment for a couple to enjoy the town and local area: it would be the perfect base for a romantic holiday for two.

I have to say this is a lovely property, perfect for couple, and I do recommend it very highly. It is impossible to fault under those circumstances. Upon our arrival, the key had not been left for us in the lockbox as we had been advised through very clear instructions with photos sent through Booking.com. The lockbox was empty. Thankfully, after some searching through my inbox, I managed to find a number for the owner on an early email from Booking.com and the owner thankfully answered the call from England. We never found out what had gone wrong and why the key hadn’t been left for us, but a cleaner arrived within half an hour of my first calling the owner and we were given a key. The owner seemed surprised that the key was missing, but it might be helpful for the owner in their messages via Booking.com to include their phone number as if I hadn’t managed to find this we would have been pretty stuck and even more upset in a rental car, in the rain, with a young toddler. There is nothing I can say to the fault the property, but to help other interested parties, I made a couple of assumptions about the property based on the photos. We know Frigiliana very well and when booking I saw the picture of the main play park in town and assumed that meant the apartment was close to that. This is on me for not checking the map reference - the apartment is at the opposite end of the town to the play park, but still an acceptable walk (about half an hour at toddler pace!) I also saw the indoor pool and - again, this is totally on me - assumed if the apartment block had an indoor and outdoor pool, the indoor one would be heated. We were travelling with a toddler and I confess - again, my fault - I booked this apartment over others because I knew outdoor pools would be cold in April so was excited at the thought of a heated indoor pool my son could swim in. The indoor pool is not heated and was colder than the outdoor one!

Lielisks apartaments ar brīnišķīgi skatu! Ļoti labi aprīkots, ir viss nepieciešamais un labas kvalitātes. Bija patīkami sagaidīšanas bonusi: vīns, ūdens, piens, kafija, tēja. Kas ir jauki, īpaši ja dzīvo dažas naktis. Auto bija ērti novietot, var piebraukt klāt. Labprāt būtu palikuši ilgāk!
