Shiloh Country Cottage

We were doing a charity walk up Sani Pass and it was ideally situated and a treat to have it serviced after a long hiking day out!

The fireplace didn't seem to extract the smoke efficiently but it was warm and cosy throughout our stay.

Central location. Close to main shops and close to all the places you would want to visit while in the Underberg. On the main Drakensberg Gardens road.

Everything. It's an amazing place

Virginia...the helper was lovely. She was flexible with her times as she didnt want to disturb our stay. The dogs on the premises were very friendly. The view was beautiful.

No washing machine No television No wifi No fire place closer to the rooms. The fire place only keeps the kitchen, dinning area and lounge warm. We were not allowed to use a heater as they are solar powered ...this could have been communicated with us... was asked not to use the heater..I did tell her that I have a 5 year old and it was very cold as there is no warmth in the rooms, she did allow for it to be used for warming up the room and then to be switched off. However, the times when it got really cold we were not allowed to use the heater... I dont know how they even knew we had a heater...unless the owners entered when we were out for the day going through our stuff. I didnt bother to ask as I didnt want my holiday to be ruined. Owner was not very accommodating to our needs. This made us feel very uncomfortable. It was a beautiful place with excellent service from the helper but due to the owners I wont be returning. Very sad
