We had a fantastic short stay at Wadano Onsen Hotel and would definitely come back. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful — modern, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, while still having a warm mountain feel. Everything felt fresh and new, and the beds were especially comfortable after a long hike. The outdoor onsen was probably the highlight of our stay. Sitting in the hot water surrounded by the cold mountain air was exactly the Hakuba experience we were hoping for. It was incredibly relaxing. Overall, Wadano Onsen Hotel strikes a great balance between comfort, style and a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Great rooms, a wonderful onsen and a genuinely enjoyable place to eat and unwind. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hakuba.

Super close short walk to the Happo One ski resort. Good food options nearby. Friendly helpful staff. Great free breakfast. Nice Onsen.
The bathroom was terrible: it was really small like an RV bathroom. The facility felt old and unclean. Felt like a cheap low-end motel. I would not go back.
