CT 390 - Faros Zen, Ohm & Yoga Retreat - Cortijo Pura Paz in Casarabonela

Einfach alles. Als wir ankam, waren wir überrascht, dass die Unterkunft in echt noch besser aussieht als auf den Bildern. Die Aussicht war wunderschön. Die Unterkunft hatte alles, was man braucht und es waren auch kleine Gadgets dabei, die man normalerweise nicht erwartet. Es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Das hat den Aufenthalt mit einer großen Gruppe sehr angenehm gemacht. Die Zimmer haben alle sehr gut gerochen und es wurde sehr großen Wert auf Hygiene gelegt. Unser Favorit war der Grill im Außenbereich. Zudem war die Kommunikation unkompliziert. Vorab wurden etliche Fragen beantwortet.

We loved the wild, secluded atmosphere of Cortijo Pura Paz, surrounded by mountains and beautiful views. The interior is tastefully designed, with carefully maintained details and a peaceful Zen style. It is a wonderful place for adults looking to rest, disconnect, meditate, and simply stay in one place for a few days. The house is also very well equipped, which makes the stay comfortable and relaxing.

What we disliked most was arriving to find a dead rat in the swimming pool. The pool technician explained that this can happen because the property is located in a remote, natural area far from the town. However, during our stay we found a dead mouse or rat almost every day, either around the property or in the pool. This completely affected our ability to relax and enjoy the place. Although the staff tried to help, we did not feel comfortable, especially as we were travelling with children who could not safely use the pool. This should be taken as an important signal for the owners to consider installing some form of overnight pool protection, particularly during the hot summer months when animals are attracted to the water but may be unable to get out. The property is also much more remote than we expected. The nearest town is quite far away, and most trips to attractions or beaches required at least one hour of driving each way. For us, this was simply too far.

Estuve alojada en este cortijo durante un retiro de yoga y fue una experiencia excelente. El lugar es precioso, muy bien cuidado, con habitaciones cómodas, zonas comunes acogedoras y una piscina perfecta para relajarse. El entorno es muy tranquilo, rodeado de naturaleza, ideal para desconectar. La limpieza estaba muy bien y algo que me gustó mucho fue que las ventanas tienen mosquiteras, así que se puede dormir con la ventana abierta disfrutando del aire fresco del campo. El personal fue encantador. El check-in fue muy agradable: nos hicieron un pequeño tour por el cortijo, explicaron todo lo necesario y nos dieron recomendaciones útiles para la estancia. Aunque el lugar transmite mucha paz y aislamiento (en el mejor sentido), está muy bien ubicado: a solo 10 minutos en coche de Álora, donde hay tiendas y servicios. Un sitio al que sin duda me encantaría volver. Muy recomendable para quienes buscan tranquilidad, naturaleza y buena energía.

We stayed at the villa with a group of friends for a week. Collecting the keys and having Diego explain everything about the villa was a pleasure. Everything was clear, clean, and ready for us. As for the location, I think it was the best for us, right in the middle of what we wanted to see in Andalusia. Bonus points for the quietness, as we couldn't hear any music or conversations by the pool when we went to sleep. The rooms are easily accessible, spacious, and air-conditioned. Both kitchens are equipped with everything we needed, and the bathrooms are nice and clean. as a good thing I would also point out that there is a big gas grill in a yard. The additional space, the Yoga Room, allowed some of us to relax and unwind. From time to time you can see goats and wild horses running around the hill :) In summary, we were very pleased with our stay at the villa. Contact with Diego was seamless before, during, and after our stay. If there is an opportunity, we will gladly return, and for now I can only warmly recommend and invite you :)

One thing that could be improved are the pool water filters – I think they could be a little more efficient. It is ok, but could be better :)
