Excellent location in centre of old town, many good restaurants nearby.

Excellent location in centre of the old town, modern functional rooms in a modernised old building. Helpful staff, even though a delayed flight into Venice meant we arrived after their reception closed at 9pm. Right next to the two main 4th century churches. A good restaurant literally next door (La Tavernetta all'Androna) and many others within a 10 minute walk.

The nearest you can leave a car to unload luggage is admittedly only a 3 minute walk away, but as we arrived in the dark and the hotel was closed it was difficult to find. After arriving you then need to move the car to longer term parking which we found free by the bus station, a slightly longer walk away. The hotel offers secure parking for a charge a little further away. I had expected to feel I was staying in an historic building, but although highly functional I found the modernised result somewhat antisceptic.

It was fantastic!

Staying at Hotel Castrum during our visit to Grado was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The room were extremely comfortable and well air-conditioned, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel itself is new and modern, with a very convenient elevator that added to the ease of our stay. Its location in the heart of the old town was ideal—everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. At the same time, the hotel is tucked slightly off the main streets, so we were spared the noise and bustle, which made for peaceful evenings. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. A special thank you to the lovely Polish lady who showed us where to find a fantastic free beach and recommended a restaurant with the best Neapolitan pizza in town. Another staff member went out of her way to lend us her personal bottle opener when we needed one. These small but meaningful gestures made us feel so welcome and well cared for. We were also impressed with how the owners accommodated our need for secure parking, going out of their way to arrange it for us. The breakfasts were fantastic—everything was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables, savoring our meal under the open sky, surrounded by the charm of the Italian old town. As for Grado itself, the town is simply extraordinary—full of grace, elegance, character, and authentic charm. It’s a place that leaves a long lasting impression, and I truly hope to return one day. When I do, I will undoubtedly choose to stay at Hotel Castrum again. To the owners and staff, thank you so much for everything. I wish you all the best and hope the hotel continues to thrive and grow beautifully!

Grandios

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit einem wunderbaren und großzügigem Zimmer. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer Toplage direkt im Zentrum von Grado. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zum Frühstück gab es alles was man sich wünscht inkl 2 bezaubernde Männer, die mit viel Herzblut das Frühstück servierten. Als wir abreisten wurden wir gefragt was man besser machen könnte … nichts, denn es war perfekt für uns.

Die Benützung des Bidets erfolgt etwas Akrobatik aber sonst alles super.

Kiváló választás, Csodás személyzettel.

Gyönyörű, tiszta és kényelmes szállás, kiváló helyen az óváros szívében. Mindenki nagyon kedves és udvarias volt. A reggeli is kiváló volt! A kiszolgálás is csillagos ötös! Két éjszakát töltöttük itt és Biztosan vissza fogunk térni!

Gelungene Adaption eines Hauses in der Altstadt von Grado in ein kleines und feines Hotel. Perfekte Rezeption und Zimmerservice. Beim Frühstücksbuffet fehlt es an nichts und sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung. Gelungene Zimmergestaltung, auch im dritten Stock mit Dachschräge.

Gute Lage - schlechte Preis-Leistung

Lage ist natürlich top. Das Personal war zuvorkommen und sehr nett. Zimmer war sehr sauber. Toller Kaffee beim Frühstück!

Frühstück war sehr sehr klein, war nicht viel Auswahl. Zudem war der Schinken teilweise trocken. Geschmacklich war ich nicht sehr begeistert. Das Zimmer wo wir waren im obersten Stock kann ich gar nicht empfehlen, man hat keine gescheiten Fenster und man fühlt sich etwas wie in einem Keller mit kleinen Fenstern - ganz so wohl haben wir uns nicht gefühlt. Und das für den Preis - viel zu überteuert!! War richtig geschockt nachdem ich den Preis gezahlt habe Ich kann es leider nicht empfehlen

Perfektes Ende unserer Radtour

Sehr nettes Personal. Die Dame an der Rezeption wahr sehr bemüht unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Wir waren mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs und sie hat Parkmöglichkeiten und Taxitransfer zum Bahnhof perfekt für uns gecheckt, DANKE.

Neu renoviertes Hotel, modernes Zimmer. Mitarbeiter freundlich!

Anreise mit dem Auto nicht zu empfehlen. Das Hotel ist nur zu Fuß erreichbar. Der vom Hotel bereitgestellte Parkplatz ist in 1 km Entfernung. Wir mussten bei strömendem Regen ohne Hilfestellung den Parkplatz aufsuchen. Lediglich ein Regenschirm wurde angeboten. Mangelhafte Darstellung!

Sehr schönes, schickes und brandneues Hotel, superfreundlicher Service, ein und ausladen des Gepäcks aufgrund der vom Hotel beantragten Einfahrtserlaubnis für die Fußgängerzone absolut easy! Parkplatz 10 Minuten entfernt Ab ~ 12 Uhr ruhig, um 7:30 läutet die Kirchen Glocken

Lage, Modernes Hotel, Sehr freundliches Personal, Große Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung,

Leider gibt es keinen Balkon, Frühstück könnte umfangreicher und abwechslungsreicher sein, Kühlschrank im Zimmer hat leider nicht so gut gekühlt und sehr klein. Aber das sind nur Kleinigkeiten. Wir waren grundsätzlich sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel zu 100% weiterempfehlen

Das neu renovierte Hotel besticht durch seine Innenstadtlage, durch elegante Ausstattung , Funktionalität, und äußerst freundlichem Personal. Die Eigentümer sind vor Ort und stets um jeden Gast bemüht. Das Frühstück wird sehr appetitlich angerichtet.

Es war alles zu unserer besten Zufriedenheit. Die hauseigenen Parkplätze waren für uns zu weit entfernt. Selbst da wurden wir von der Chefin des Hauses chauffiert. Es gibt nichts auszusetzen was in den Händen des Personals liegt. Für Gäste die gröllend weit nach Mitternacht heimkommen und Türen schmeißen, kann kein Hotelier etwas

Ein junges, ausgesprochen zuvorkommendes Team, das gerne und ehrlich-freundlich auf Wünsche und Bitten eingeht. Alles super unkompliziert! Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber! Die Lage in der Altstadt hat einen besonderen Charme!

Da gibt es tatsächlich nichts zu bemängeln. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!
