Quinta das Palmeiras - T2

On arrival at the apartment we couldn't get into the keysafe for the keys. I had to ring the host 3 times before I got an answer. Fortunately I was given the correct number for the keysafe but I was also told I was sent 2 emails, one had the wrong code which is what I was using but the code had been changed and I had been sent another code which was the correct one. Once inside the apartment we were surprised by the size of it along with the facilities. We didn't use much of the facilites as there were only the two of us and we ate out each day so it's basically somewhere to shower and sleep. I did do my washing though while getting ready to go out the day before we came home which saved me time as I was back to work the next day. The balcony overlooking the pool gets the sun all day so that was lovely to sit out for an hour or so late afternoon. We were not told on the information sheet in the apartment where the beach towels were stored so I had to message the host although in the end we didn't end up needing to use them. Also, we were not told that we needed to use a keycard to get into the pool area. We had to work that out once we tried the keys at the gate. Fortunately we had seen a card on the side in the hallway so to save messaging the host we tried it and it opened the gate. The apartment could do with some updating but that will come at a cost which is then passed onto the customers. We found the apartment to be cleaned to a good standard which is what I'd expect for a weeks stay. If you want something more luxurious and modern then look elsewhere. If you're happy with a budget accommodation then this is ideal. For us the apartment and location was great and we would definitely stay there again.

Not been informed how to enter the pool area and where the towels were located. Can be a bit noisy late at night from the bar and restaurant located before the pool.
