Mercure Alba Iulia

Mic dejun bun și variat. Locație foarte bună, la câteva minute de mers pe jos de cetate. Confortabil, facilități multiple, personal amabil.

Ni s-a părut puțin degradat (semne de uzură), având în vedere că a fost inaugurat recent.

beds could be more comfortable; I told the front desk that the door doesn't close properly against the door frame and needs to be adjusted manually.

Everything was perfect

The location is good; 10 minutes walk from the train station and also about the same to the citadel entrance. The view from the room is also excellent. It is very clean (although still a bit of a new building smell). The gym is very small but has weights, running machine and bench so it was useable.

Breakfast looked nice on surface but wasn't the quality that I expected of Mercure. For example, regular store bought white bread slices and cheap bread rolls, the coffee machine had Nescafe 3 in 1... If I could rate the restaurant separately as I would do so at 1 stars (the soup was so fatty and salty it was completely unpalatable though the staff was kind enough to give me a refund) so if you have time it would definitely be better to eat elsewhere. The room facilities felt a bit incomplete for example no cup in bathroom, explanation of checkout time, list of prices on mini fridge ect.
