Escape to Arcabuco at Taino Woods Sanctuary & Fairy Magical Land—a peaceful forest camping experience in the Catskills of New York.
Surrounded by towering trees and located along the East Mongaup River, Arcabuco is perfect for beginner campers, couples, families, and friends looking to unplug, relax beside the fire, stargaze, and reconnect with nature.
Perfect for camping near Bethel Woods concerts, Catskills hiking, weekend getaways, and peaceful nights beneath the forest canopy.
Throughout your stay, you may hear live Indigenous songs shared around the sacred fire, adding to the peaceful atmosphere of the sanctuary.
Cedar is provided if you’d like to set intentions by your fire or enjoy a quiet moment of reflection.
PLEASE NOTE
• Walk-in campsites (5–10 minutes from parking)
• Vehicles cannot drive directly to campsites
• ATV luggage transport available ($25 round trip)
• Firewood available onsite ($1 per piece)
• Please do not bring outside firewood
• Every campsite includes its own fire pit

• Outdoor bathrooms
• Hot & cold outdoor shower
• Shared outdoor kitchen with sink & stovetop
• Tent heater rentals available
• Fire starters and camping essentials available at Taino Xpress
• Access to the East Mongaup River
Upper campground guests may visit the river between 8 AM–7 PM using designated paths. Please help preserve the privacy of our river campers by avoiding occupied campsites.
Please store food securely, as wildlife including deer, birds, frogs, and bears call this forest home. We kindly ask all guests to Leave No Trace and help care for this special place.
