About this house rental
Lightning Hill is a spacious 6000 square foot estate sitting on 13 acres of private land. This home offers plenty of land to spread out and enjoy nature. The home features 4 bedrooms, large living room with wet bar, spacious kitchen, 2 bonus rooms for family entertainment, pool, hot tub, 4 sofa beds, and so much more. Located 10 miles from Columbus, 24 miles from Fort Benning, and 26 miles to Callaway Gardens.
The home will accommodate 16 people comfortably. If approved, we will allow additional guests at a cost of $20.00 per night per person which will be charged after booking.
Lightning hill is a great place to relax while visiting, Columbus, Fort Benning, Pine Mountain or any of the surrounding attractions. The home features, 4 Bedrooms each with their own bathroom and walk-in closet, 2 spacious living rooms, an office, large kitchen, a library/sitting room, 4 sofabeds, wet bar, very large laundry room, two porches (one open to the air where you can watch hummingbirds feed, and another screened in with a usable fireplace. The grounds are equally spacious. The front yard is very large, and the backyard features two fire pits, pool, hot tub, and gazebo with dining table and chairs. There is a creek that runs around the property at the bottom of the hill.
Three of the bedrooms feature king beds, the other bedroom contains two queen beds. There are three Queen sofa beds in private spaces to include the office, art room, and 2nd living room.
Guests will have access the entire property with the exception of the workshop about 500 feet away from the home. Just behind the home is a pool, hot tub, and a cabana with table and chairs for eating or socializing or just getting out of the sun while enjoying the pool.
The estate is very large and maintenance to the grounds and pool are completed on a regular basis. The maintenance team will largely go unnoticed. The maintenance and landscaping crew keep mostly to the workshop down the drive path. The workshop is out of view of the home.
The home has a gated entrance and only you and your guests and our maintenance staff will have access. There is also a grill on the back porch.

As soon as I saw this property I knew it was perfect for my wedding weekend! Everybody who you communicate with are so kind and willing to move mountains to help you enjoy your time. Their attentiveness and enthusiasm was so relieving for my pre wedding nerves trying to make sure everything was taken care of. The property itself is magnificent and in top condition, beautiful and very clean. They walk you through everything you need to know, and you will have all that you could imagine here taken care of already. My wedding was so amazing and they even checked on how it went after the trip was completed. My friends, family, and I loved it. We had room to play outside games, get in the pool or hot tub, made smores in the fireplace because it had just gotten cool enough, and had so much room inside as well for our wedding festivities and games afterwards. I’d recommend this for anyone and everyone who is interested you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here for my brother's Turning Blue graduation, and this property is absolutely beautiful! The house is so spacious and clean, and stocked well with toiletries adequate for a large number of people. The hosts were very friendly and communicated well! They actually live on the property, so when we arrived they gave us a tour of the home, which was very helpful. Their daughter even comes over early every morning to maintenence/clean the pool and hot tub, so it's ready to use each day. There is, however, a noise ordinance that goes into effect around 10pm, so you may want to keep that in mind if you have music playing or if you're playing games outside. That's something I wasn't expecting due to the acreage, but once the host explained that due to the amount of trees, there's lots of echo, it made sense.There are plenty of bath towels and pool towels for everyone, as well as laundry soap! They also had alot of condiments in the fridge, as well as spices in the cabinets!Overall, we had such a great time, and we would definitely stay here again! Do not hesitate to book this property.
