The hotel shows so many signs of aging that it’s funny they keep calling it a brand-new hotel. It was likely abandoned a few years before they decided to open. The hotel is mainly frequented by Russians and Asians. Check-in is done at the souvenir store. Although we arrived at 11am, the room was only ready by 3pm. We were happy to go to the beach, but at 2:30pm I had to insist on getting a room. Lucky we only stayed one night.

This is at best a 4 star hotel. Good value but don't expect the int'l 5 star hotel facilities and services.

The hotel is in a great location just across the street from the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and it's easy to get a taxi from here. The choice at breakfast is great. Some minor points let the hotel down, such as housecleaning not always replacing soap and toilet paper, and overcrowding at check-in. Breakfast could use a system where you put a card on the table to say it's occupied, then flip it when you're done. The room soundproofing is terrible - almost every night there was loud music from the beach that I could hear through the balcony doors on the 20th floor (thankfully it always stopped before 11). It looks like the hotel is still being built, so hopefully more pool areas are also built or else it will be very crowded.

The room was great, but the overall satisfaction was not. When we first got there, we were advised to check back in at 3:00 pm. We went out to get some food and came back at 3:45 pm, only to be told to wait another 10–15 minutes. We sat down and came back 15 minutes later, and the same person advised us that our room still wasn't ready and they didn't know when it would be. They gave us a complimentary coffee and dessert and told us to go to Level 3 to get it. We went up to Level 3, but there was no staff member there to accommodate us at all. We waited 15 minutes and no one arrived. We eventually found a staff member who told us our room was ready, but by then the complimentary coffee and dessert were out of the question. We went back downstairs and explained the whole situation, including having to go to different floors only to find no one there to help us. The staff couldn't even apologise; all they did was make excuses. We finally got into our room, and the rest of the stay was good because the room itself was very nice. However, the cleaning staff didn't really do a good job, as they forgot to replace a few items in our room, and we had to call reception to bring them up. The last thing I will mention is that when we checked out, the staff tried to bill us for items from the minibar that we never received in our room. They tried to get us to pay for items we never used because they were never there in the first place. They had us write on their bill that we did not receive any of those items. I just hope they don't end up charging our card later for items we never had.
