Walk to Valley Park: Pet-Friendly SLC Apartment

Value for dollar is exceptional. Very cozy. Family sounds from above with children made me feel like I was at home. Family very kind and friendly whenever we happened upon each other in passing. Walk to Valley Park is an accurate description and the park was outstanding!

I drive a Semi Tractor and provided pictures of it to Booking.com prior to my stay, and also provided pictures of it to the property contact at Evolve. I was told to park on the street, so I did. Nobody was aware of the local ordinance prohibiting large trucks or trucks with trailers, even large pickup trucks with trailers, but specifically semi tractor trucks with or without trailers to park on the street (on any streets whatsoever in Taylorsville) unless they are loading or unloading. So of course a neighbor on the cul-de-sac called the local police and complained about my semi being parked on the curb at the designated location for where I was staying. Which is perfectly understandable and something I probably would have done myself if I was a resident and aware of the ordinance . Needless to say, I woke up 4 days later to a parking violation notice and had to immediately move my vehicle to a secure location in Salt Lake City and be without my personal form of business transportation for the entire 3 weeks that I was there. Fortunately for me the police department in Taylorsville was very kind and gave me 24 hours to resolve my situation. After speaking with a local police officer at the police station in Taylorsville, it was explained to me that they could have towed my vehicle immediately and impounded it the day of the complaint. I was very grateful for the kindness of the police officer who placed the violation notice on my truck, although I did not get to meet him or her and thank them. It wound up costing me several hundred dollars in Uber rides to get around town and back and forth to the ARFF Firefighter Training Grounds at the Salt Lake City A-Tac center in the Salt Lake City International Airport during my 21-day stay. So, I think it would be great for booking.com as well as the Evolve team to be made aware of this local traffic ordinance and be able to include it in the information about this rental for future customers.
