AC was good and quiet. Bed was comfortable. The owner very kindly gave me a thick throw as i found it difficult sleeping with just a sheet. Quiet location (except for bread van with its annoying jingle at silly 'oclock). Overall, I was grateful for a good night's sleep.
I'm an experienced solo-traveller and although the host was very friendly and clearly well-meaning, I personally found the level of concern about my safety, whereabouts and expected time of return at night a little excessive for my comfort. I struggled to get hot water for three days and the shower pressure was very weak, until I said something about it, and then the situation was rectified.

having only one stove made cooking a bit difficult. It would be more ideal if an additional stove could be provided.

I stayed at Meritage Gardens in Homagama for 2 nights with my family, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The environment was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The owners of the property were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. We were warmly welcomed by them. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay — I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
