Finest Retreats - Williams Court

The view is great, the apartment was clean, the bathroom was modern and there was copious hot water. After long days on the water the bath was wonderful. There was an iron and a washing machine but no clothes horse or airer on which to dry anything.

I really struggled to sleep all week because the curtains are sheer white, they fit inside the window space and block out hardly any light especially at dawn. It was hot and this was made so much worse by the duvet cover and half of the pillow cases being polyester cotton, and the mattress and mattress protector both synthetic. Please use cotton bedding. The street noise in Falmouth week is loud and late and the windows aren't at all soundproof even when closed. The bed is a standard double, for such a large r oom it could be a larger bed. There was no hairdryer. The windows were really grubby. The towels were new, which should have been lovely but they had never been washed and as a result I couldn't use them without getting covered in dark blue lint. The only paring knife had a broken tip which made it hard to cut veg. There are no handles on the bedroom cupboards (as mentioned in a previous review). I knew that there would be steep steps up to the apartment and there were but they smelt of old urine and clearly hadn't been swept in aeons. Finally this is a small apartment, but the pans and cooking dishes are enormous which makes it a pain to wash them and difficult to stack them on the drying rack. Well maintained by whoever cleans but thoughtlessly kitted out.

Very central, good view, spacious, light and clean. Good range of kitchenware. Good to have utube on TV. Good wardrobe facilities.

TV too small. Cooker too complicated. No toaster. Uncomfortable sofa. No genuine balcony..

Eine schöne Wohnung über drei Etagen. Sehr gute Lage, direkt an der Einkaufsstraße und trotzdem ruhig. Großzügig vom Platz her. Küche gut eingerichtet. Schöner Ausblick aufs Hafenbecken. Gutes Bad, neu ausgestattet.

Die Wohnung ist schlecht zu finden, weil die Beschreibung mangelhaft ist. Alle Küchenutensilien mussten wir zunächst spülen (schmutzig, fettig) um sie benutzen zu können. Ebenfalls mussten wir die Fenster putzen (die schon lange keine Reinigung erlebt hatten), um den schönen Ausblick genießen zu können. Es fehlten Staubsauger und Besen. Für die ortsübliche Müllentsorgung fehlen die entsprechenden Behälter. Das Foto des Ausblicks (der schön ist) ist etwas geschönt. Die Mitarbeitenden von Finest Retreats waren zwar freundlich, konnten aber nicht helfen.

Die Lage und der Ausblick waren ganz schön. Auch die Ausstattung war ganz gut. Es gab ein bequemes Bett. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Das Appartement hat Potential, aber leider gab es viele Mängel

Im Schlafzimmer fehlten an allen Schubladen und Türen die Griffe. Die Couch im Wohnzimmer war an einer Seite kaputt, so dass man kaum dort sitzen konnte, der Bezug war angeschmutzt. Die Fenster waren sehr schmutzig. Schade bei dem schönen Ausblick. Im Badezimmer war das Waschbecken verstopft, so dass es kaum nutzbar war. Das WLAN funktionierte die gesamte Zeit nicht, obwohl die Mitarbeiterinnen sich bemüht hatten. Da wir von Anfang an die falsche Nummer für den Schlüsselkasten hatten und nur durch die Hilfe einer Mitarbeiterin, die uns eine andere Nummer gab, in die Wohnung kamen, konnten wir beim Auschecken den Schlüssel nicht im Schlüsselkasten hinterlassen, da wir die Nummer nicht schriftlich hatten und auch niemanden telefonisch am Abreisetag erreichen konnten.
