Great views for where we were

It was raining so couldn’t use the outdoor bath since you needed a fire pit to heat it up

10/10 views and the fire bath was amazing one of the better things we had done on trips away. The views where really good to and you felt like you had the farm to yourself

I think the lighting could be improved and maybe some curtains for the door.

Location and privacy

The unplumbed toilet was not ideal and probably the main issue here. Also lack of power to charge devices ect. Lucky it wasn’t a really hot day or night because a lack of a fan or air conditioning would be very uncomfortable. A kettle to use on the stove for tea and coffee would be very useful.

Lovely location, very peaceful, cute hut with lots of potential. I was impressed with absolutely no smell from the composting toilet.

This is unpowered, basic, glamping! If advertised as such & priced accordingly I would have been ok, but off grid is not usually unpowered! I would have expected a solar or battery set up. Everything was just done so cheaply, (Kmart, Kings, Dometic) & just not comfortable or practical. My own camping set up is way better equipped & I’m pretty basic compared to a lot of campers! It was so very cold & with no power, no firewood provided (or available to buy at their farm stall) & no hot water (I was compensated for the hot water issue) it was hard to enjoy. Only a thin Kmart summer doona & thin blanket on the bed & one spare summer Kmart doona in the cupboard. I had to go to bed with two layers of clothes, two pairs of socks, both doonas & the blanket just to be warm enough to sleep. It also gets really hot in the hut during the day so summer time would be awful. Had I been able to use the fire bath, it could only be used after dark as in full view of other hut, main house & camp site in the paddock below. No curtain across the hut doors. Would be very little privacy if it was busy. Also, bats & bugs in the bathroom was not ideal. Basically BYO: Drinking water Firewood, kindling, fire starters Doona Camp chairs Kettle for the gas cooker Mugs (unless you’re happy with tin Kmart camp mugs to burn your mouth on) Camp toaster Coffee pot Battery operated heater/fan Or just bring your own set up & pay a fraction of the price for the camp site in the paddock below.
