Balichéri

We had the loveliest stay at Florence's home a short drive from Varaignes. Such a perfect space for a few nights while visiting friends in the area. The garden is the highlight & it is absolutely gorgeous with mature trees, lavenders & a large salt water pool, which was lovely in the July heatwave. In the evenings the many twinkly solar lights make it a really special space. It was incredibly relaxing with many places to sit & take in the views. The garden is shared with the owner but we didn't feel in the way or that we were sharing the space with anyone. Florence was so gentle & welcoming and was keen to make us feel comfortable, showing us around the large grounds & offering a gorgeous homemade rum aperetif made by her husband and in the morning, a very good breakfast. I liked the bedroom with it's simple design, it had a good shower, separate wc, good ac & blinds for a good nights sleep. There was a small fridge along with some beautiful little cups & special touches in the little kitchen area. I would recommend a stay if you are in the area & would definitely return.
