What a beautiful location. I have visited before when it was Farm Inn. The small buck outside our room made it so special. The room itself was stunning. The bathroom was big and the shower HOT which I love! Big TV and an impressive kitchenette for small meals. The bed so comfortable and the seating ample. Warm with the airon as it was cold. The bar Zambezi was also well stocked and comfy. Breakfast was very good. Edwin was super helpful.
We were allocated a room very far from the restuarant, even though the place was not busy - we had a car full of stuff and and some expensive items and did not want to leave those in the car. So we had to cart our belongings quite far and it was tiring on a Sunday evening to have to do so. We did get help from Edwin though to roll our bags to the door while we hauled the rest of the items. The bathroom had no bin for personal refuse and not a table to pack things on even though it is quite big. Shower did not drain properly. The room door did not lock properly and so I had to carry my laptop around with me which was not ideal. Other than that, wonderful place!

I have known this property for more than 40 years, so returning here carries a certain sense of nostalgia. It is wonderful to see that the hotel is now clearly being revitalised, with extensive renovations and upgrading taking place across the property while still retaining the character that has made it such a familiar landmark over the years. We stayed in Marula Unit 4 and had a great experience. The unit was comfortable, extremely neat and very well maintained. In fact, the cleanliness of the entire property deserves special mention — the premises are exceptionally tidy and cared for. Breakfast was a real highlight: a proper “full Monty” breakfast, with plenty of choice, well prepared and very satisfying. There was a conference taking place in the new conference facility during our stay, but it did not disturb us at all. This suggests that the new facilities have been thoughtfully incorporated into the property and that the hotel can accommodate both leisure guests and larger functions without one negatively affecting the other. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Having known this place for four decades, it is particularly encouraging to see the investment being made in its renewal. There is clearly a great deal of work underway, but what we experienced already gives a very positive indication of where the hotel is heading. A lovely stay, excellent breakfast, welcoming staff and beautifully neat surroundings. I look forward to seeing the completed transformation.

it was located on a wildlife estate next to very prestigious resident estate. We were upgraded free of to a better room as the one we paid for and to be nearer to the reception. To hear the farm animal noises at night time was a real treat .
Nothing.

The quiet and farm surroundings was great
There was no toilet paper, when we asked the lady dropped off. The shower head sprayed the entire bathroom. All our clothes were wet before the 70th party event. Even the toilet paper was wet. We had to put a towel around the shower head to keep the water in one direction. The shower tiles have dirt build up in the groves. It was trauma experience for me coming from Cape Town to a 70th party event. There is an opening in the top part of the door with the cold coming in. I did not sleep well and felt as if Booking.com clients are treated with back door benefits.
