I loved the location, the house, and the room.
I came into town for a UM Men’s Soccer Reunion. Proximity to the Hecht Athletic Center was important. This was a close to perfect place to stay.
I was so thoroughly enamored with the property that I immediately told my fellow Reunion attendees, on the first day, that we should book the entire place for four people for next year’s Reunion.
…then I had the unfortunate occasion to be exposed to an idiot who was also staying there.
At 3:47 am, a fellow room renter came in and slammed the front door. I was out cold asleep and it was loud enough that I woke up straight away. Then they walked past my door and slammed their room door. All this while talking, in full voice, on their mobile phone (which they continued for almost 10 minutes). I could NOT believe how just how rude they were being.
I needed my sleep, so I didn’t go and confront them, but whoever that was who stayed in Room 2 (which I was in the first night, inadvertently, and then I was moved to Room 1), they should be disallowed from staying at your place.
They truly were one of the rudest, most clueless, fellow room renters I’ve ever encountered.
I would suggest that you have people agree (beforehand) to be courteous of other guests staying at your excellent home. Signs in the rooms stating that they need to be respectful and not make a lot of noise may be helpful.
I’d have given you a 10 out of 10 score, if not for that troglodyte…so I took off 2 points for their carelessness and self-centeredness.
