Casa Santapietra

We spent a wonderful week at Casa Santapietra in Acaya with our family — our daughter Lizzie, our son Joseph and his wife Fiona, and our two grandchildren, Charlie (7) and Frankie (4) — and we absolutely loved it. The villa is only around 45 minutes from Brindisi Airport, and from the moment we arrived everything was so easy. There was convenient parking outside and accessing the keys and the villa was completely straightforward. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful. All four bedrooms are en suite, everything was immaculate, and the whole house has been decorated and furnished to such a high standard. It feels as though it must have been designed by an artist — everything is so tasteful and beautifully thought out. The beds were super comfortable and the air conditioning was very efficient. The villa also has wonderfully thick walls, which meant it stayed lovely and cool throughout the day, even when it was hot outside. The pool and terrace were a real highlight for us. The grandchildren absolutely loved the pool and their swimming came on leaps and bounds during the week! Because the pool is long and relatively narrow, it really seemed to give them confidence. They especially loved being allowed to swim in the evening when the pool lights came on — such a special holiday treat and a lovely memory for all of us. The welcome pack was such a thoughtful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed the local wine, nibbles and olive oil — thank you so much! The pool was kept sparkling clean with very regular attention, and having housekeeping during the week was another lovely bonus. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a large fridge and everything we needed for a family stay. The location was great too. Within about a 10-minute walk there are four local restaurants and a fantastic ice cream shop — which, unsurprisingly, was very popular with the grandchildren!
