Vista Castello - Otranto

Great location, very central to all restaurants & shops in the old town & a great view of the castle. Easily accessible via taxi as it is on the edge of the ZTL. Only a few minutes walk to the sea & free water in the fridge. Good aircon in the bedroom (only). Wifi works once you are able to connect, but this was not possible for the first hours of my stay.

The bathroom is a shower head over the sink/toilet & is hardly enough room to move. The drainage is also not adequate and the squeegee provided has no handle… It is essentially the storage room under the stairs, with plumbing. The unit furniture/amenities is in need of a refresh & the towels etc. did not seem very clean. The listing indicated a roof space however I was unable to access this. Check in at 4pm was very late, and it was quite a process to arrange luggage storage (although granted, it was possible eventually!) The front door does not lock. Further, the owner charged me 10x the nightly tourist tax and has not responded to messages seeking this is rectified.
