-The main lobby entrance is being updated and expected to be completed, weather permitting, 4/8/2026. In the meantime, the East walkway is still available for guests to use to enter the lobby.

Snowbird Season runs from November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). SunDestin is a vacation rental complex conveniently located in the heart of Destin, less than half a mile from Big Kahuna's waterpark. It is unmatched in terms of facilities and guest services: check out the two pools (an outdoor, heated, open-air pool) and the exercise room, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, massage therapy, on-site restaurant, tiki bar, and gift shop, with a front desk staffed 24/7. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor.

Nice condo. Mostly newer appliances and fixtures. Building was under construction which caused an elevator outage and the fire department come, so elevators were turned off for a bit. Water heater was not working properly, prompt service resolved that issue. A number of items were not included in our stay that I previously have been accustomed to at other VRBO properties: no beach towels, only 1 kitchen towel provided. No cooler, beach chairs or beach toys. When flying this creates a bit of a luggage issue to try to bring all that stuff. Overall experience was just ok.

We had a very enjoyable time. The room temperature was perfect. Everything was very clean. There were a lot of renovations going on in the complex, but that did not lessen our experience at all. The indoor pool was under renovations, but we knew that ahead of time from the owner.

Property was nice. 2 ice trays in fridge, both had holes. Last day our key pad did not work. Otherwise, great stay!

Location was great. Outdoor pool was ok. Only 1 hot tub for a huge unit, so always crowded and never got in. Indoor pool was pretty small. It is an older building and unit. Renovations happening by elevators and big piece of plywood was the only thing keeping you from the outside, which was a bit unnerving. Several small inconveniences like no washer or dryer in the unit and the one on the floor didn’t work well. Paid 2.50 for the dryer-45 mins and a half load didn’t dry. No coffee filters or hair dryer. Something was up with one of the elevators. No check in or check out email or info. I always had to reach out. Don’t plan to be back.
