This september we visited Empoli. We wanted to stay close to Pisa and Florence, but not in a busy area. This place had exactly what we expected. A perfect view over the winefields with a beautiful sunset. The place could have been more clean. The road to the place is quite bumpy. We were lucky to rent a decent car. Mario, our host, was a very friendly man. He picked us up at the bottom of the hill so we could find the way up when it was dark. With a bit of english and talking with our hands we could understand each other.
