Welcome to APRES HAUS, your private Catskills getaway! Designed for large gatherings, this spacious home offers all the amenities you need for everyone in your group to relax, recharge and have fun. With a fully stocked chef’s kitchen featuring double ovens and dishwashers, as well as an 18-foot dining table, you’ll have no problem preparing and enjoying meals together. After dinner, sit around the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, take a rejuvenating soak in the indoor hot tub, or step onto the expansive deck for stunning mountain views (including 4 of the highest peaks in the Catskills). The home also offers a game room with pool table, foosball and darts, a SONOS sound system, as well as a large natural swimming pond and fire pit on the grounds.

We did a family ski trip with ~20 family members of all ages. The place is beautiful, the layout is awesome, and the location can't be beat if you're trying to ski Windham (8 minute drive to the mountain). The décor is roosters - the kids had fun trying to count them all! Highly recommend.

The Mountain House was the perfect home to accommodate a few families and their children!
The house is huge with a lot of rooms and bathrooms to give each family their own dedicated space. And then the common area and game room in the basement and the living room on the main floor are great areas for everyone to hang out. But our favorite was the enormous dining room table where we could all sit for meals, play games, talk, and do activities with the kids.
We also enjoyed the hot tub, sledding in the backyard, building a fire and sitting by the fire pit, and skiing, hiking, and tubing down in the town of Windham which is only a few minutes away. Also plenty of restaurants to eat in or take out from nearby.
And the host, Derrek, could not have been better! Very responsive before, during and after our stay and even dropped off some kitchen items we were running low on.
I have to disagree with some of the recent reviews too. The house temperature was very comfortable (Nest thermostats everywhere), the WiFi was great, and the photos really don't do this house justice - they have updated a lot and there is so much space throughout the house.
Our family will definitely be coming back!
