About this cabin rental
Wake up to birdsong and the whisper of the Cartecay River, just steps from your back door. Spend mornings sipping coffee in a riverside hammock, afternoons conquering the game-room putting green, and evenings soaking under starlit skies in the hot tub. With two floors of well-designed space, luxe kitchen, and every outdoor game you can name, this home is the perfect mash-up of rustic mountain vibes and modern convenience.
The Space
Main Level
• Bright, open-plan living room with vaulted ceilings, french doors leading to deck, and a stone-faced gas fireplace on an easy wall-timer.
• Deluxe kitchen—granite, stainless, gas Wolf range, well-equipped, LARGE pantry.
• Dining table for 6 plus countertop seating for casual breakfasts (plus a kid's table with four more seats!).
• Primary suite: king bed, spa-style en-suite (full tub + walk-in shower), and private deck access.
• Handy half-bath just off the living area.
Lower Level
• Game room: ping-pong table, air-hockey table, mini putting green, Xbox 360 with two controllers and a second gas fireplace—perfect for rainy-day tournaments.
• Dedicated workspace with desk + fast Wi-Fi.
• Bedroom 2: king bed.
• Bedroom 3: twin trundle + two twin-over-queen bunks (sleeps 8 kiddos or the young-at-heart!).
• Shared full bath with tub/shower combo.
Outdoor Living
• Hot tub on the lower patio—watch the river roll by while you soak.
• Two fire pits (one riverside, one near the house) with Adirondack seating for s'mores sessions.
• Yard games galore: horseshoes, hopscotch court, cornhole boards.
• Four hammocks strung between tall pines—claim your favorite and nap to the sound of rushing water.
• Direct river frontage—launch tubes or cast a fishing line right from the bank (bring your own gear).
Guest Access
Entire home, inside and out, is yours—no shared spaces. We have three locked closets, but there is ample storage throughout the cabin. Flat parking for 4+ vehicles and easy, paved road access all the way to the driveway.

• Smart, keyless entry—code provided the morning of check-in.
• Three exterior security cameras (facing river from the back of the house, facing driveway & front door ring doorbell) for your peace of mind—never inside.
• We provide starter supplies (trash bags, paper products, soaps).

This was an amazing cabin and wonderful stay. Super close to Ellijay and apple picking even though you could honestly stay right at the cabin and have plenty to do. Tons of fun games in the basement, hot tub, fire pit, chill views from the upper deck, and our favorite part - the fabulous river steps from the back door. The cabin was very well appointed with everything we needed and immaculately cleaned when we arrived. 10/10 recommend.

This property was perfect for our family get-away. We didn’t have many reasons to leave, because the home/river had so much to offer. The home is really really spacious and we had plenty of room to stretch out. Hosts were quick to respond. The property is dog friendly and my pup loved being there. Be aware, apparently the neighbor has a strong aversion to dogs. She was screaming across the yard to tell us to put a leash on my dog.. in the wilderness? And he never left the property. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We loved our stay here! The cabin was beautiful and the property was so peaceful and gorgeous. Loved being on the river. And it was nice that if we needed to run out to get something it wasn’t a tedious drive. Paved roads all the way to cabin! The only reason I’m gave 4 stars instead of 5 was we never found an attachment to the coffee maker to be able to use ground coffee, and there was no hair dryer to be found as we were told was supplied. But those were very minor hiccups. Otherwise, WONDERFUL! We’ll be back!
