La Centinela en Costa Quebrada

The location was brilliant, the local beaches were wonderful. Our favourite was Playa de Usgo, just so clean and the water was so clear and not as busy as Playa de Cuchía/Marzán. Also it's not far to the Soplao caves, Santander and the National Museum & Research Center of Altamira which is well worth a visit. The pool was really nice too and was a real treat after being out for the day to come and cool off in. Also the hosts were really great, really helpful and the communication was excellent. The appliances were all really good and in good working order and we loved the balcony off the main bedroom. The views are great and that was one of our best spots to be in the house of an evening to watch the sun go down.

The main issue for us was the cat. Now we knew about the cat before we booked, we all like cats so no problem we thought but the cat is going to be wherever you are and will want to sit on you and be with you at all times, be in the house, by the pool and so on and it just gets a bit wearing as we couldn't completely relax as it's quite vocal as well. As long as you are ok with it being part of your group and stay you will be fine but I think that does need more emphasis in the details. The second thing for us was the attic style bathroom as we are all quite tall and the sloping roof made it really difficult to use. I'm 5'11 and it really wasn't easy, my husband is 6'5'' so really quite difficult.
