A nice chalet but an extremely disappointing stay - half our time without hot water
The location is good near the teleferico
We rented Chalet du Verney - Pied du Prarion in Les Houches, taking a risk since it had no reviews but looked nice in the photos. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible mistake. The place is extremely expensive for what it offers, and our experience was awful. Out of a 10-day stay, we spent 5 days without hot water. With small children in a house in the mountains, this was unbearable. The woman in charge of providing support was unhelpful and unresponsive—she would not answer phone calls and sometimes took an entire day just to reply on WhatsApp, without offering any real solution. You can imagine how difficult it is to rent a house in the mountains with kids and spend half of the stay without hot water while being completely ignored by management. We made a terrible mistake, and we sincerely hope no one else does the same.
