The Oh Deer! Retreat was nothing short of magical!!!
This beautifully decorated country cabin nestled above the Yaak River makes you feel warm, welcome, and right at home.
There is plenty of space (inside and out) for the whole family to relax, connect, and reset. The back deck and upper balcony boasts gorgeous views of the Yaak River. A charming little trail accompanies you along your walk down to the riverbank. My kids thoroughly enjoyed swimming, fishing, and playing in the Yaak River.
There are two hammocks near the riverbank for you to lie back and soak up all the sounds of the river and the beautiful song birds. Plenty of trees to hang additional hammocks, if needed.
*We brought hammocks for our kids to enjoy and hung them closer to the cabin.*
The cabin also offers a full kitchen with all the cookware and a large chef's stove for preparing home-cooked meals. The queen bed located upstairs is a trundle, with an additional bed below. You could sleep 6 people comfortably in the upstairs loft, if needed. There is also a balcony off the loft with two chair-hammocks. Perfect for a great read, sipping tea, or birdwatching!
Our family made good use of the firepit, too! S'mores and smiles night after night!
We also saw a number of deer on the property throughout our stay.---I'm telling you....MAGIC!!! If you love the mountains and outdoors, this is the place to be!
My only complaint is we should have stayed longer! The kids are already asking when we will be going back to the cabin.
Oh Deer! Guess, we'll be booking again! :)

We had a wonderful time at this cabin with family. It’s is welcoming and thoughtful designed and decorated. It has everything you would need for a mountain stay. The house comes well equipped and perfectly set to enjoy the beautiful views and highlights of the area.
