    Having stayed in a lot of hotels around the world, this is definitely one of our favourites. We love that it’s unique and family owned. The staff are amazing and always willing to help. Yummy breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea. Great location too - everything is walkable. Highly recommended

    The staff were so friendly and very helpful! The decoration and the atmosphere of the hotel was elegant while cozy at the same time. Breakfast is definitely a highlight too. Will definitely come back if I have any chance to visit Gothenburg again

    Visited Gothenburg for the first time. Chose Hotel Royal as wanted something with character. However, wasn't a great experience. On arrival our room had some mess from a electrician and one of the beds wasn't made. We expected to be moved into another room but no, they cleared the mess and made the bed. But for the rest of the stay we weren't convinced and on hindsight we put up with a weird smell that we should have complained about. Staff are otherwise friendly. Good arrangement with the independent Spa next door. But when we return to Gothenburg we will try somewhere else.
