Loved the setting and rustic antique furnishings. Washington machine. Great location for skylift and exploring the beautiful Olden area.
The stairs in to the loft are very steep and narrow. We slept second night on first floor. Not a lot of dinner options in Loen.

The view is good.
It is an very old house with traditional decoration. It feels small. Very small bathroom, especially with the washing machine inside. Very narrow and steep stairs to the attic where all the beds are. Living room is stuffed with furniture and is dark even with all lights on. Maybe some people like it, so it is highly rated, but I should have read the reviews more carefully when I booked it.

It was so quaint and a real treat to stay in a traditional country Norwegian home with homey decorations from another time. BUT it was dangerous as the only way to the bedrooms was via a ladder. That was not made clear in the description of the unit.
It was dangerous as the only way to the bedrooms was via a tiny ladder. That was not made clear in the description of the unit. Because we often need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, we knew going down a tiny ladder was not going to work. So we had to sleep on the couches Luckily there were 2 couches. But I didn't appreciate paying all that money to sleep on a couch.
