Hyowudang

The location and building was exceptionally beautiful and memorable. We felt that we had been exposed to something truly special. The hosts were wonderful too.

The bed was a little too soft for my liking but other people might find it perfect!

Beautifully-made Hanok stay, delicious cooking, attention to detail, personalized service, very kind hosts. Absolute luxury in a historic / traditional destination.

Be prepared to grab cab or uber, as it is about a 10 minute drive from the city center.

Historical setting with modern facilities, awesome local cuisine, warm service

The architectural details of this home were beautiful and very well done and comfortable, but the best part of our stay was spending time with the hosts. The mother/chef, has been on a few cooking shows on Netflix and the meals we had were top notch. I only wish we had made dinner reservations here at Hyowudang. The son/host who greeted us and showed us around this lovely place, also gave us a tour and a little history of his home next door. He also helped us with recommendations of where to eat and what to see at night. He was very helpful and made our trip memorable.

Although the house was very lovely and an architectural gem, it was located in a hard to access area and was surrounded by a not so lovely neighborhood.
