Hyowudang

The architectural details of this home were beautiful and very well done and comfortable, but the best part of our stay was spending time with the hosts. The mother/chef, has been on a few cooking shows on Netflix and the meals we had were top notch. I only wish we had made dinner reservations here at Hyowudang. The son/host who greeted us and showed us around this lovely place, also gave us a tour and a little history of his home next door. He also helped us with recommendations of where to eat and what to see at night. He was very helpful and made our trip memorable.

Although the house was very lovely and an architectural gem, it was located in a hard to access area and was surrounded by a not so lovely neighborhood.

The accommodations were outstanding! The rooms, the gardens, the attention to detail. THE FOOD! Breakfast was a great treat every morning. The hosts are first class -caring and kind. The location is great from the train station (15 minutes) and getting around Gyeongju. Highly recommend!

Needed some chairs with back support, more comfortable pillows for the mat room.
