Communication with our host was very good; questions were always answered promptly. Although we did not meet our host in person, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. Everything we needed was available in the cottage. The beds were comfortable and the sofa bed was also fine. Because the host also spends time in the cottage regularly, there are many personal items that contribute to the cozy and authentic atmosphere of the cottage. In addition, the cottage also has many supplies that can be used conscientiously. Upon departure, we replenished some items, of course. Coffee and tea are unlimited available. The cottage was also clean. With a (dish)washing machine, oven, and grill equipment, the cottage is equipped with all the comforts you need. The children have also been taken into account: badminton rackets, swings, a hammock, board and card games, and boxes with toys. The price-quality balance is very good. For people who want to take a step back to the “roots,” this is a very suitable place to stay. During our stay, there was also a power outage for a day, but that didn't limit us in any way. An evening by candlelight and oil lamps was a little adventure for the children. The location of the cottage is excellent. Beautiful nature and away from the famous but busy Route 66. Yet all facilities are available, a supermarket, but also a swimming pool in the nearby guesthouse. There is a lot to do in the Horehronie region. Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to do here, and there are also adventurous things for children to do. Everything can be reached by car in a relatively short time, but there are also hiking trails starting in Braväcovo. The highest peak in the Low Tatras, Ďumbier, can be reached from the cottage in just eight hours. Our host also made recommendations for day trips and strived to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The people in the region are also very friendly and English is widely understood. We will definitely come back again!
