The Annexe

Exactly as advertised, a nice little room for solo travellers. The terrace is lovely, a definite bonus to have! Everything was neat and clean, the leaflets and tourist guides came handy in giving me ideas for things to do. The owners were nice and made sure I had everything I needed.

These are not complaints, just ideas that would have improved the place for me: a small fridge would be nice (but I knew there wasn't one when I booked), better pillows, and maybe some herbal tea bags (great to have the kettle, but I don't drink black tea in the evening). As others mentioned, double check the address with the owners, I knocked on the wrong door when I got there.

The location of The Annexe is ideal for someone like me who was cycling round the Isle of Wight. It is bang on the marked cycle route! The accommodation is for a single person (single bed) with a lovely bathroom and was spotlessly clean. The house is on a very steep hill with about a dozen steps down to The Annexe, so I was really grateful that Wendy's husband carried my bike down, then up again in the morning!

I was a little chilly in the evening until I worked out how to put the heating on. Nothing else!

Cost effective room, bed and en-suite on the outskirts of Ventnor, very clean and tidy with receptive and accommodating hosts and off-road parking. TV in room, kettle and drinks and a dedicated outdoor table and chairs

Everything was fine for my visit - worth checking the arrival details with the hosts, as booking.com directions didn't have the correct house number. Note that access is via a flight of steps.

The single devan bed was on wheels and moved around when sat on or getting up. Due to floor fabric perhaps The door curtain did not reach the bottom, allowing light and any prowlers to look through glass Steps leading down to the venue are tricky for able footed, would be difficult for anyone of impaired mobility Door lock is tricky to use unless taught how to lock it Parking space doesn't suit a long vehicle. A lot of clutter of bricks and building materials also in the area as a trip hazard. No chair in the small room to sit on to read or attend to paperwork. Tv screen can't be watched as set at wrong angle No decent sized mirror in the bathroom Ventnor is an extremely hilly town. This venue is steep to reach on foot & then steep to reach to access on arrival.
