The location is great.

First of all, the air conditioning was a real nightmare. The windows in the room couldn't be opened, and the air conditioner didn’t work properly. Even when set to 18°C, it would turn on, run for about 10 minutes, then switch off again. Despite the outside temperature being just 17°C, the room remained at an uncomfortable 26°C. As a result, I had to get up every 20 minutes during the night to manually turn it back on, which led to very poor sleep. The lowest temperature it ever reached was 24°C. When I raised the issue with reception, I was told, rather unhelpfully, that "the air conditioner works in mysterious ways." Additionally, the mini fridge in the room was completely non-functional. Instead of cooling, it actually heated up, making it impossible to keep water cold. On a minor note, the make-up/zoom-in mirror was installed at such a high level that, at 170 cm tall, I couldn’t even reach it to do my makeup. The rooms are dirty and dusty. The reception is not very helpful at all. I needed the return of a city tax, and 3 different people told me absolutely different things on how to do it. UPD: I was completely misinformed by the hotel staff, who lacked knowledge, and it resulted in me losing money, even though I followed their instructions completely. This is the response I have received from the Customer Support of Booking.com. They have also lied to the customer service, and I have a copy of my timely filled-in documents. 'They have confirmed that you did not complete the necessary forms, and unfortunately, it is now impossible to submit them retroactively, as the property must provide all relevant information to the Municipal Tax Department in a timely manner.' So overall, I would not recommend staying there if you don't want to lose your money or be baked alive in a dirty hotel room.

The staff and their service Although the still-new Ald Hotel initially had some trouble with its check-in system, the staff reacted extremely professionally and welcomingly. We were invited to the bar while they resolved the issue. It's particularly noteworthy that the staff arranged for flowers for our room upon my request, which were ready promptly before our check-in. Thank you so much for the wonderful flowers and the lovely greeting card! Both have made their way home and will keep our beautiful experience alive for a few more days.

There could be more hangers and furniture for clothes. Silently Opening / Closing the door of the toilet was almost not possible. Maybe it is just the door mechanism that can be adjusted.

De ligging, heel centraal in Den Haag. Mooie kamer met een goed bed en uitstekende douche.

Ontbijt is erg prijzig

Uitstekende ligging en bereikbaarheid. Vriendelijk personeel! Voor het hotel wat nog niet heel land draaid, mag er iets meer oog voor detail in onderhoud zijn.

L'hôtel "The Ald" a été une très belle découverte. La décoration est vraiment superbe, les accessoires dans la salle de bain sont eux aussi de très bonne qualité et ça fais la différence. Le petit déjeuner est très complet et copieux. Le personnel est souriant et très accueillant. L'hôtel est idéalement situé dans le centre, de nombreux restaurants se trouvent à côté voir 2 min de The Ald, même chose pour ce qui est des boutiques Un parking Q Park se trouve littéralement juste à côté de l'hôtel, un vrai plus! Sans hésitation, nous recommandons fortement cet hôtel!

De lokatie dicht bij trein en tram is ideaal. Heerlijke bedden, koelkastje en koffie&thee op de kamer.

Voor hygiene een puntje minder omdat er in de kamer gerookt was (kan het hotel niets aan doen) zag bekertje peuken voor de deur en nog lichte geur in kamer

Donkere gang. Eerst verkeerde minder prettige kamer

Enorme dikke, harde kussens op het bed. Hier kon je echt niet op liggen. Kamer enorm donker, te weinig licht.

Super recomendable! Habitación pequeña pero con todo lo necesario, limpio y decorado con muy buen gusto. Servicio 10!

De locatie is fantastisch, de kamer bijzonder en fijn.

Ik had hoge verwachtingen van het ontbijt, helaas was deze niet uitgebreid en werd er slecht aangevuld. Ik zou op dit moment het ontbijt zeker niet adviseren, voor het geld wat je ervoor moet betalen. Kamers waren bijzonder, maar ontzettend gehorig. Wanneer er boven je iemand door de kamer liep, had je het gevoel dat hij of zij door het plafond naar beneden kwam. Net als het gebruik van hun douche, hier konden wij een half uur lang zeer intens van meegenieten. Door de gehorige kamers en de harde kussen op het bed, hebben we helaas niet een hele goede nachtrust gehad. De dames bij de receptie waren vriendelijk, maar er hangt geen sfeer in het hotel. Je kan voelen en merken dat er weinig personeel rondloopt. Ook de bar was niet geopend en konden we dus uiteindelijk alleen gebruik maken van onze kamer.

Heerlijke kussens, maar te dik om op te slapen, jammer dat er niet ook een iets dunner kussen aanwezig was. De vloer vd kamer boven ons was erg gehorig.

Hotel is erg mooi. Heel fijn in de binnenstad.overal dichtbij, erg makkelijk met eten en uitgaan. Stijlvol ingericht, en fijne kamers. Met goede douche en lekkere bedden. Geweldig ontbijt, veel assortiment. Aardig personeel.

Het ontbijt is schitterend met zelf een bubbel erbij! Zeer goeie douche en netjes!

Jammer dat er geen haardroger is! Het is best donker als je de kamer binnenkomt en we misten nog een kapstokje aan de muur.

Design en netheid kamers

Een nare verrassing was dat mijn kamer geen ramen met zicht op buiten had. Enkel twee plafondramen. Ik had het geapprecieerd dat als men hier helder over was geweest. Dit is nl niet standaard. Ik vind dit geen hotel dat hierover hoeft te zwijgen vanwege commerciële redenen.

Prima hotel, wel erg kleine kamers. Weinig licht op de benedenverdieping van de studio dus in de avond zag je bijna niks. Er is veel aan design gedacht maar minder aan het comfort wat je zoekt op een hotelkamer.
