Citrus House Phra-Arthit

The view was great! Had a good view of the street below and when you went up to the rooftop you could see the city skyline.

Honestly my only complaint was the air conditioning. When I checked in it was blazing!! It took a long time for the unit to actually cool down. I would suggest future tenants to cut the ac on immediately and go explore the city for a few hours before they get settled in.

Very close to Phra Arthit pier and has 7-eleven just across the road. There is a cafe and icecream store in the same building, with really good stuff. The owner gave us vouchers for drinks at Pulse Cafe. In terms of security, the ground door and the apartment door are code-operated. There are also CCTVs along the stairways. The unit we booked has biggg beds and a projector, perfect for movie nights. Very aesthetic unit and I love the layout where all your luggages and stuff are tucked behind the room.

Generally an old building with renovated apartment. It's a 5-storey building with no elevator. The stairs are pretty steep for me. We were at the 5th floor and we found it quite a challenge every time we climb up, not to mention with big luggages. We had issues with the drainage and pungent smell in the toilet/shower room, which the manager acknowledged and acted upon. The building has no visible immediate sign of Citrus House. It took me a while to find it and asked couple of locals to help me out. The signage was actually on the side of the wall of the building, about a size of an A4 paper so it was a bit frustrating. Tip: better book the one on the 4th floor (with green couch on the photos). I always regret booking the 5th floor unit every time I had to stop on the 4th floor to catch my breath and rest my legs.

The apartment is nice and well arranged. Ample of space. Generally speaking, inside the apartment we had almost everything that we needed. Dish washing liquid and sponge were a nice bonus, so was the generous welcome drink.

The apartment is on 5th floor with extremely steep stairs and no lift. In my age with problematic knees, climbing up a few times was a nightmare. We would have avoided the place if we had known it in advance, but the lack of proper alert in the website trapped us, which is unacceptable. As for hosts, there were none. We got a code by mail to open the door and didn't have to leave any key when we left. To carry the luggages up to the 5th floor we needed first to climb up one floor and inconveniently ask the staff at the coffee shop there to help. On the way done we dragged everything by ourselves. Equally annoying was the fact that the website says "free parking" while there is no parking at all, free or not. We came with out own car and luckily managed to find a slot on the street after half hour of searching, still very disappointed by the misleading information. Beyond these there are few petty things, not really important but the owner might want to consider. Hand soap by the sinks (2 of them, very nice) would help. Also we didn't like the smart toilet. We would prefer to control how we clean ourselves rather than playing a piano on the remote control. The apartment still had a bit of smoking smell when we arrived that took a few hours to disappear.
