About this house rental
Angoulême, 10 minutes from the city center, in a peaceful area, an 18th century house, surrounded by a one-hectare park.
The large building is divided into two: the accommodation of the owners David and Corinne, and a gîte.
The 180 m2 gîte is on the first floor and 1st floor.
You have access to the garden, to the swimming pool (shared with the owners), you have enough to make a barbecue, with furniture for eating outside.
The accommodation:
On the first floor, a large equipped kitchen, dining room and a large living room. On the 1st floor, 2 bedrooms with 180x200 beds separable into 2 90x200 beds. The larger of the 2 has a sofa bed offering an extra bed of 140x 190. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet.
Guests can use the entire accommodation, as well as the garden and swimming pool (12x4m) shared with the owners.
The house has parking for 3 vehicles.
We own a dog.

The house and its grounds were very beautiful and David was a perfect host, really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The old house has been very beautifully renovated and it was a real pleasure to spend time there. The pool was a good size, the extensive wild gardens were wonderful to walk round and there were numerous spots to stop and relax in the shade. We slept well in the comfy beds. There was an intense heatwave when we were there but the house stayed cool with its shutters old walls and stone floors. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and playing pool in the living room which also had comfy sofas and a huge tv which was a bonus for watching some world cup games. This was one of the best holiday rentals we have experienced - the perfect place to stay if visiting Angouleme !

This property is better than described!! The location is great for exploring Angouleme by foot and for going further afield to Cognac or Bordeaux. The pool was great and the hosts were great. No negatives.
