Inti Amanta Lodge

This is one of the best experiences I have had traveling. The location (about 20 minutes up mountain roads from Sigchos and about an hour outside of Quilotoa) is excellent and gorgeous. You're above the clouds, which is perfect to see the wonderful night sky. Even better is the hospitality of the hosts. They really made me feel like a family member, had so many thoughtful touches (Canelazo! A knitted scarf! Flowers! A bonfire! Special tea to help my sore throat!) and shared so much about their wonderful culture with me. The food was delicious and in very generous portions, and I got to try many great Ecuadorian specialties. I wish all hotels were like this, where I felt especially looked after as a solo female traveler. I can't wait to be back!

The rooms have excellent beds, the shower is hot, coffee and tea are available all day long in the lounge, the food (we enjoyed dinner and breakfast) was excellent (quite some choices too). But… the best part is the unbeatable view AND most of all the incredible hospitality of this family (the best ever!), they try to make you feel at home from the first moment you arrive. They speak Spanish we speak English, but it was never a problem! Want to have a peaceful stay? Stay at Inti Amanti (sun spirit)….

The fact that we only stayed there one night

Such an amazing stay in every way. The location is breathtaking which I couldn’t stop admiring, high above the mountains. Waking up to watch sunrise from my room was amazing. Decent size room, very clean and comfortable bed. If you don’t have a 4x4 to access the property, the hosts will pick you up from Sigchos centre. I’ve never experienced such hospitable hosts before in all my travels, they are so warm and friendly, plus make sure your stay is comfortable in every way. And the food is devine, with decent size dinner and breakfast, you’ll never go hungry. Highly recommended!
