We stayed here with for three weeks, me, my wife and two kids.
The apartment is spacious, with two separate bedrooms and a large living room. There was plenty of space, and no one disturbed each other. All rooms had air conditioning, so it was pleasant to come back during the hot days.
The appliances in the apartment were a nice surprise: 2 TVs, refrigerator (there was some surprise from the owner inside it :)), washing machine, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, grill, electric stove. Everything worked well, making cooking and household chores easy. The large balcony was especially memorable: a comfortable spot for breakfast and dinners, with views of the city, mountains, and even a small piece of the sea. Cleaning service was also available from the owners.
The apartment’s location is excellent. The walk to Nea Chora beach took no more than 15-20 minutes. Each time we walked through quiet traditional Greek streets where whitewashed houses alternate with cozy courtyards, plenty of greenery and flowers decorate the entrances and balconies with laundry drying. This part of the city felt very authentic and residential, almost not touristy at all, making us feel like part of everyday life in Chania. Thanks to this route, the walk to the sea was always interesting and leisurely, introducing us to the real Crete.
There are shops and supermarkets nearby, just a 5-10-15 minute walk, so buying all necessary groceries was very convenient. The Old town was reachable within a 10-15 minute walk, where the Venetian harbor, charming streets, and cafes await.
Nearby the apartment, there is a beautiful church and a green city park.
Another bonus was the Thursday market right on the neighboring street. We bought fresh fruits, vegetables, and local products there.
It was very useful that there is free parking for cars in the courtyard of the building. For me, this was a big plus, because in other trips I often had difficulties finding a parking spot in the evenings.
Sometimes there were some small biting gnats on the balcony, but only in the evenings, so it would probably be a good idea to bring mosquito repellent. A few times, the water was turned off due to city repair works, but it came back quite quickly, so overall it was bearable. There is also an elevator in the building, but it only fits a maximum of two people, so we had to use it in turns or someone had to take the stairs.

Location and on site parking. Good space and working air con.
The apartment door lock is extremely difficult to open. I was the only person in our group who could open it after a long time trying each time and on 2 occasions had to comeback latter to have another go. There is something wrong with the barrel or key.
The double bed creaked and mattress was not comfortable.
It would have been good if we had been told that the hot water switch had been turned off. We coped with the cold showers.
