Lovely scenery and quiet

Wonderful spot quiet. I felt like I was 100 miles from any city. I could easily relax. It is situated in Primrose Hill. Good eating spots and shops are only a 2 to 5 minute walk. I should add the accommodation is more akin to a caravan or glamping and as a consequence there are some limitations. But to me (an experienced sailor) that added to the charm.

Atypique et emplacement extraordinaire

The location was beautiful and extremely close to Camden. The boat was reasonably comfortable, and the host was extremely generous. She gave us bottled water, a few beers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, and left out deodorant, shampoos etc. for our use. She also offered use of her bike and power bank if we needed. The Mythbusters channel on the TV was excellent too; 24/7 Mythbusters on demand!

The facilities were frustrating. For instance, the shower needing 3 hours notice and the sporadic availability of electricity. I understand that this is an off grid experience, and that everything was clearly explained to me, but that does not make these issues any less frustrating. Also, the bathroom door is extremely finicky and I felt like it might have jammed shut on several occasions. There were issues with cleanliness; it was clear to us that this boat is owner-occupied, which was never mentioned. There were half used food items in the fridge, cupboards and drawers full of random stuff, and items stuffed in between couch cushions. I found the host to be a little bit overbearing at times. She mentioned that she had entered the property while we were out for the afternoon, which made me extremely uncomfortable given that passports and other valuables were stored there.
