Crescent motel

Very clean and comfortable room. The shower worked great and had good hot water.

I could hear the people in the room next door.

Perfect spot on our way to Crater Lake. And the big, clean comfortable room for this price was amazing!

Cleanliness of the room and friendly staff were important. Unexpectedly comfortable beds were a bonus.

The room was reasonably spacious, and despite the issues below, our two-night stay was manageable. On the first night, when it was freezing outside, the room was quite cool (around 62°F), but with the bedding and extra covers provided, we were still able to sleep comfortably.

If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, bring earplugs - cannot emphasize this enough! The motel is right next to the road, and trucks, motorcycles, and other loud vehicles are very noticeable even with the windows closed. The walls between rooms are also extremely thin as we could clearly hear normal conversations in the neighboring room, down to individual words, without anyone raising their voice. Temperature control was another major issue. The first night the room was around 62°F, but the following night it became uncomfortably hot. Our choices were essentially to open the windows and make the road noise even worse, or run the AC. Unfortunately, the AC itself was extremely loud and quite old, with missing/damaged controls that made the unit look poorly maintained. For a room costing around $150 per night, I expected better. Cleanliness also left us with questions. Someone else’s shower gel had apparently been left in the bathroom, while the refillable toiletries mounted on the wall were completely empty. Maybe there was an explanation, but it made us wonder how thoroughly the bathroom had been checked before our arrival. Finally, the bed was very creaky, and the pillows were unusually high and uncomfortable. There were only two pillows total, so there wasn’t an alternative to choose from. Overall, we left with very mixed feelings. I understand that this is a motel and wouldn’t expect luxury, but then roughly $150 per night was too much.
