The house is very charming, clean and well equipped – it had everything we needed during our five-day stay. The small pool and the outdoor space are a big plus, and in terms of the property itself, it definitely met our expectations.

Unfortunately, we were much less satisfied with the approach to guests from the owner or the agency managing the property. We completely understand strict house rules, including an extra fee for late check-in and no possibility of a late check-out. However, we felt that the same level of care was missing when problems affecting our stay occurred. During our stay, with daytime temperatures above 40°C, there was a scheduled power outage from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We understand that this was beyond the owner’s control, but in this property no electricity also meant no air conditioning, no Wi-Fi and no running water. In practice, we were unable to stay comfortably in the house, work, prepare meals or even use the bathroom normally for most of the day. We also had a fully stocked fridge and were concerned about the food spoiling. No alternative solution, assistance or even symbolic compensation was offered, despite the fact that we had to spend the entire day away from the property and incur additional costs for breakfast and lunch outside. Our messages regarding the inconvenience did not receive any meaningful response. Eventually, the person managing our stay informed us that the electricity had been restored somewhat earlier than 4:00 p.m. However, by that point it made little practical difference, as we had already had to reorganise our entire day around the outage and make plans to stay away from the property until the afternoon. The lack of support and even a small gesture in response to situations that significantly affected the comfort of our stay left us with mixed feelings. BTW there are definitly some problems with the electricity as on one of our last nights, when we returned around midnight, there was no electricity again and the entrance gate was not working. Eventually, a member of staff arrived and it turned out that the circuit breaker had tripped, so the power was restored.

We stayed here for a week, combining work and leisure. The house is located just outside San Vito dei Normanni, it has a well-kept garden and the area is very quite. The house with airconditioning was comfortable for 2 people and we especially enjoyed the outdoor space. There is plenty of shade, the wifi was good (also for online meetings) and the small pool is great for a quick, refreshing dip. A few bikes are available, which we used for a 5-minute ride into town to get fresh bread every morning. The location is good for sightseeing trips to beautiful cities, such as Ostuni (15 km), Taranto (50 km) and Lecce (60 km). The coast, which some nice sandy beaches, is only 12 km from the property.

The power cut out when 2 or more appliances were running. This was easily solved by flipping the main switch and the owners indicated that they will address the problem.
