A stone's throw from Kelowna...The Skipping Stone is a spacious, comfortably furnished and fully outfitted 3,100 sq. ft. executive home in the Lakestone Waterside Community in Lake Country, BC. The first thing you will notice . . . the panoramic views of Okanagan Lake and mountains from virtually every room.

Whether you're relocating to the Okanagan, are here on a work assignment, planning an extended getaway, or simply looking for a beautiful home base from which to vacation, the Skipping Stone gives you room to relax, work, play and make yourself at home.

🛏️ Room for Everyone
The home comfortably sleeps six guests plus an infant.
There are three spacious bedrooms, and here are a few features we think you'll appreciate:
- Every bedroom has its own full private ensuite.
- Each ensuite has heated floors
- Each bedroom has a dedicated workspace and chair(s), making it easy to keep up with work, school, computer time, when necessary.
- The primary bedroom has a little extra wow factor, with a sunken sitting area overlooking the lake and mountains, and a jetted two-person spa tub plus a separate shower.

The Skipping Stone is more than a place to sleep—it’s a place to experience Okanagan living while you settle into your home away from home.
- Enjoy morning coffee on the balcony facing the lake. Early birds can greet the sun from the front facing courtyard or a walk to the lake.
- Spend the afternoon exploring wineries, hiking and biking trails, multiple lakes and beaches, golf courses, seasonal festivals and wonderful eateries.
- Shop at the local farmers' markets (spring, summer and early autumn), grab a bite at the much raved about winery bistros and yes...much raved about food trucks, too!
- then come back to the Skipping Stone where the BBQ and spectacular sunsets await.

🌊 A Home With a View
Let's start with the obvious: the view.
The Skipping Stone sits in the beautiful Lakestone community overlooking Lake Okanagan. From morning light to golden sunsets and star-filled evenings, the lake and mountains are always part of the scenery.

And because this is a home rather than a hotel room, there’s plenty of space for up to six people to actually enjoy it.

Sleeping arrangements include:

• Sturdy, super twin air bed available when needed

🍳 Calling All Cooks!
This isn't a kitchen designed merely for making toast.
The spacious kitchen features a double oven with an induction cooktop and a convection oven setting. For meal prep, we have plenty of counter top space, a built in butcher block counter top, and necessary tools. We have both a butler's pantry and a walk-in pantry stocked with cookware, serving ware and countertop appliances. We also provide a selection of basic cooking and baking ingredients for guests to use. Plus a cookie jar filled for you.

There are three refrigerators throughout the home—two upstairs and one downstairs—so there's plenty of room for groceries, beverages and all those delicious Okanagan discoveries you're bound to bring home.

The dining table seats six, while the large kitchen island comfortably seats four.

Throughout the Skipping Stone are beautiful, one of a kind stained glass lamp shades, clocks and wall hangings for you to enjoy.

🏡 Plenty of Space to Spread Out
Relax in the main living areas, curl up with a book, enjoy the selection of games, stream a favourite show, or simply find a quiet corner and watch the world go by.

There are outdoor spaces too, including a balcony, patio, and grassy area where you can sit back and enjoy those panoramic views.

And - Wi-Fi. Because even paradise occasionally requires an internet connection.

🌿 Step Outside & Explore
One of the best things about The Skipping Stone is how easy it is to get outside.
A scenic walk takes you to the lakeshore, public beach, park, bike park and trails. Pickleball, tennis and basketball courts are also nearby.
And then there are the wineries, restaurants, golf courses, lakes, beaches, biking trails and endless Okanagan adventures waiting a short drive away.
We've put together a whole section of our favourite things to see and do nearby, so you won't have to spend your first afternoon figuring it all out.

🍷 Wine Country Is Right Outside Your Door
Lake Country is home to the Scenic Sip wine trail, with wineries, orchards and eateries scattered throughout the countryside.
Spend the day exploring vineyards, tasting local wines, stopping for lunch, or simply enjoying the scenery.
And if wine isn't your thing, don't worry. There are plenty of other ways to fill a day around here!

☀️ Your Okanagan Home Away From Home
The Skipping Stone is designed to be comfortable, lived-in and welcoming.

You can cook dinner. BBQ. Read a book. Work for a few hours. Take a nap. Go for a bike ride. Explore a winery. Sit on the balcony and watch the sunset.
Or do absolutely nothing.
It's your time in the Okanagan. Enjoy it your way.

📋 A Few Important Things to Know
The Skipping Stone is available for 31- to 90-day rentals. Longer stays may sometimes be possible with a signed lease—please inquire.

The monthly rent includes $575 for utilities (water, electricity, gas), wifi and streaming services. Please be advised that amounts substantially over the $575 month will be billed to the tenants, payable in 30 days.

For stays of more than one month, let us know if you require house keeping and/or laundering of bedding and towels. $$Fee.

Basic Guidelines for an enjoyable holiday at Lakestone Waterside in Lake Country, BC.

• Sleeps 6 plus an infant
• No smoking or vaping inside the house or near open doors and windows when outside
• Sorry, no four legged friends or other pets
• No big get togethers/loud events. Occasional visitors OK.
• Quiet hours apply
• Parking - Garage and Driveway, 2 vehicles max
• Per Lakestone Strata rules, RVs, boats and similar oversized vehicles cannot be parked within the community. A vehicle-storage facility is nearby, with additional options within approximately 15 minutes. Fees apply.
• Minimum responsible adult age: 30
• Check-in after 3:00 PM
• Check-out before 12:00 PM

We love this part of the Okanagan, and we're happy to share our favourite local tips, trails, wineries, restaurants and hidden gems with our guests.

There will be a basket of goodies for you on the island in the kitchen. We ask that you kindly return the basket to the pantry upon departure.

Prior to your arrival, you will receive the Skipping Stone Guest Information Guide with the access codes, useful information and important phone numbers. We will have a backup copy in the kitchen. A small library of brochures and flyers is also available.

Extras - Let us know if you require extra services such as house cleaning, laundering of bedding and towels, grocery shopping, putting out and putting back the garbage and recycling bins. (FYI - I have a background in vacation rentals, cottage care and operating B&Bs.)
