A secluded and truly unique off-grid glamping retreat, The Hollows is a peaceful escape nestled in pristine native bushland.
Thoughtfully handcrafted, this private paradise invites guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and abundant wildlife of Kangaroo Valley—while still enjoying the comforts of stylish, eco-friendly living.
Blending rustic charm with modern touches, The Hollows features three separate buildings designed for both comfort and connection to the outdoors.
The cosy bedroom cabin, complete with a King bed and its own fireplace, offers a warm, inviting space to unwind. For those seeking a deeper connection with nature, the canvas walls can be rolled back so you can fall asleep surrounded by the sights and sounds of the bush.
The bathroom cabin, built with recycled materials, includes a shower and an eco-friendly Norwegian incinerator toilet. After a day of adventure, guests can also enjoy a soak in the separate outdoor bath—perfect with a glass of wine under the stars.
The third building is the outdoor kitchen, equipped with a gas cooktop, small oven, sink, BBQ, and a compact gas fridge. Guests planning to bring extra food or drinks may wish to bring an esky for additional storage.
One of the standout features of The Hollows is the custom sandstone fireplace—an ideal spot to unwind, toast marshmallows, and take in the breathtaking escarpment views as the sun sets.
Expect visits from curious native wildlife and a chorus of local birdlife—many of which call this special place home.
Just a 5-minute drive from the cafes and the Friendly Inn in Kangaroo Valley village, and right across the road from the Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat which is home to the popular Osteria La Vallata Italian restaurant, The Hollows offers a truly unique and memorable accommodation experience.

Beautiful cabin and bush setting - perfect for couples wanting to get away from everything. Lots of birdlife onsite and got to see lyrebirds which was amazing. Plenty of wildlife, walks, and activities nearby. Close enough to town for convenience but not so close we heard many other people.

We have stayed in many places and The Hollows is absolutely one of, if not the best. Such a private, relaxing, perfect kind of accommodation for us. We were blessed to be visited by a cute little possum, kangaroo's and a group of 3 lyrebirds that visited daily. The owners were incredibly responsive when we had a slight issue and it was rectified in no time at all. The Hollows is a very special place and sitting by the 'Hollow' open fire in the kitchen area is a must. We found a gorgeous little creek nearby the cabin that was incredibly special. We were blessed with 3 days of gorgeous sunshine and loved the 1 rainy day we had as the birds were out in abundance. We enjoyed the canvas walls being up and being surrounded by bush and nature. We cannot wait to return. We highly recommend to any and every nature lover
