About this house rental

‘Doonhill’ is a 3 bedroom, detached single storey house tucked away in a quiet corner of the beautiful seaside village, Portpatrick. It has been lovingly refurbished including new windows, doors, kitchen, bathrooms and all flooring. It has a large kitchen / open plan dining room and separate sitting room with bifolding doors onto the garden. The house sits within it’s own exclusive grounds with private parking and extensive decking and external seating with views over the sea to Ireland.

Portpatrick is a picturesque coastal village with a harbour. The village has all the amenities one could wish for. Coastal walks, fishing, putting, bowling, tennis, golf course with many bars, restaurants and cafes all on the doorstep of ‘Doonhill’. The house is only 300m from the harbour and Stranraer is only 10 minutes away by car or bus with regular ferries to Belfast from Cairnryan.
Please note the apartment is non-smoking. If you fail to adhere to any house rules, your deposit will not be returned and additional charges may apply.
Partying and excessive noise is not permitted in this development, failure to comply will lead to a fine.
Any Damage should be reported immediately and an appropriate charge will apply.
Pets not allowed.
Heating and hot water Switch on hot water when you arrive: on the unit in the hall open flap and select ‘twice’ - water will be heated early morning and early evening. Push 'hot water’ button if you require additional water e.g. more than one bath filled.
PLEASE OPEN FLAP AND SELECT ‘OFF’ WHEN YOU LEAVE
Turn the water temperature in the unit in the bathroom to that required - typically 65 deg. Please do not turn the temp up higher than 65 deg.
TURN THE UNIT IN THE BATHROOM TO 'STOP' WHEN YOU VACATE.
In winter you may also adjust the 'heating' temperature in the same way.
The shower over the bath is a mixer and requires a tank of hot water to use, if you try and use this shower after running a bath then the shower will be cold as the hot water tank will be empty. The mixer adjustment is very sensitive to get warm water. You only require a tiny amount of cold to get it right. As mains cold water pressure is high compared to gravity hot water.
