    Our stayed in Modala Resort is worth it , services given to us by the friendly and helpful staff from reception (Jason, Gianne, Vince ) to concierge (Jayson, Alger and Ethan ) to security ( Ronnie ) and the restaurant staff too and most esp Nina in customer service who help me to get in touch with photographer Jeff who make sure we will be able to received our pictures and video even we are already here in Sydney . We are greatly pleased and highly recommended this Modala Resort

    We enjoyed our stay at Modala Beach Resort. After hearing about the noise complaints in other hotels, I am so happy that we decided to stay here; quiet and peaceful (August 2025). Morning breakfast is also delicious and there's enough variety that one can try something different everyday. It was easy for the local drivers to find our place and as long as you have that local transportation, it's easy to reach the popular tourist spots. The resort has a direct access to a beautiful white-sand beach with its clear calm waters. It's perfect for small children. Snorkeling was interesting because the resident sea creatures were mostly transparent/translucent and very good at camouflage. There's an occasional orange giant star fish, and there were also the two-inch sand-colored starfish closer to the shore. At low tide, the beach shows its healthy lush sea grass, and that's perfectly fine. Our older young-adult kids had to travel to the other side of the island just to find some night life, which they eventually found. They took a tricycle-type of transportation and had a good time. The mall next door seems to have been hit hard by recession and it wasn't bustling, but it's still clean and well-maintained. Another plus is that there's a drop-off laundromat next to the 7-11 just outside of the resort. For a big family who attempts to travel light, this is very helpful. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Do we recommend this place? Highly recommended.

    Modala has been a pleasant surprise with the pictures living up to the expectations. I love that Filipino influences are to be found in design, uniforms and the little details around the hotel. The restaurant has fast service, and the breakfast is amazing offering a wide variety of local and foreign cuisines. We also booked a transfer from the port, they were timely and very hospitable.

    I don't intend to ever coming back here. I have been in Bohol for the 7th times and this is one of the worst place I've been. The manager is not genuine at all when an issue occurred. NOT RECOMMENDED
