The Retreat

Very big room! Nice and spacious nice big TV and big bathroom and 2 sinks is a bonus and very modern, was nice have a full size fridge freezer in room aswell all hotels should accommodate a fridge in these heats! And a microwave was a bonus and no charge for dog stay is excellent, owner was very pleasant and welcoming, always answered any questions quickly, bed was comfortable and the bedding was so soft weve gone and brought the same duvet cover today lol, its only a 15 min walk into paignton town centre , parking was brilliant aswell as u can park on drive or street easily.

Just our preference but black out curtains would of been better for early light nights, and floor boards alittle creeky but he could be doing it up by the looks of it also decor in room needs alittle update but nothing major and dont know if another guest had tv or talking on a phone at 5am which disturbed us but other than that nothing, had pleasant stay

Plenty of facilities to be able to cook food if you required and the added extras of everything you need in the bathroom is great e.g toothpaste shampoo shower gel etc.There is tea coffee sugar and milk in the room too. Sebastian our host is lovely and makes you feel very welcome.

The clutter in the entrance hall doesn’t give a good impression but everything else is spot on.

The room was spacious , comfortable and clean bathroom superb with fresh towels and again very spacious. The entrance hall was cluttered but other than that we had a fantastic stay. We have rebooked for July. Extremely good value for money. The host was very friendly and welcoming as well as being very helpful with directions.

The location and bathroom was new and clean.

Bedroom needs new carpet. Walls look damp. Furniture doesn’t match. Noise from what seems to be permanent residents during the night. Fridge and shelf units dirty and dusty. Everything needs to be cleaned better.
